Real life looking baby

Hi, can anyone recommend a ‘real life’ looking baby. Last minute request from my 6 year old. I haven’t got a massive budget, up to around £35.

I find these completely disturbing but having almost lost a child I can sympathise how they could help people in that situation and bring them comfort.

I personally don’t think they’re appropriate as a long term crutch and totally inappropriate for anything else including for children to play with. They look too real and could encourage people to live in a fantasy world where they think the doll is real. They could also be confusing to members of the public who might think they are real, and got knows what other vile reasons people might want them.

You make some fair points. Could I ask why you feel it's inappropriate for children to have them as dolls? Just because they're too realistic?

Because as someone else pointed out, people will think it’s real if it’s one of those disturbing reborn dolls. If she takes it out and leaves it in the car or drops it on its head in the supermarket you’re going to cause people around you stress. Just get her a normal toy doll like 99% of other parents rather than contributing to the sales of these disturbing fake babies

Tiny Treasures dolls at Argos are weighted and more realistic than most dolls but clearly still dolls rather than reborns. Beware of cheap reborns online, scammers steal photos and then send a doll that looks nothing like it.

My eldest had two, the closed eyes one was def the one that attracted the most attention in town when she was pushing it in a toy pram!!

£35?? Christ I paid £100 about 15 years ago!!

There is a woman local to me who has two reborn dolls which she takes out and about in a double buggy. She is doing no harm but she takes up the buggy spaces on the bus, which is not on.

The dolls are the sleeping kind. First time I saw them I thought they were real.

We saw a woman holding one upside-down under her arm at the park a few weeks back. She was waiting for her little girl who was feeding the ducks, but from a little way off, before we clocked the girl and the doll-sized pram, it was quite disconcerting! 😆

Berenguer dolls come as boy or girl and are very cheap on ebay. I know because i was going to sell one i bought for my granddaughter but didnt give her as i i think they look too real.
