Welcome to Christmas 2025!

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

I received a free box from you last year which my boys absolutely loved so thank you 😊

I can recommend a Breville Active Blend, £19.99 on Amazon, £20 in Argos, £25 in Asda and Robert Dyas. We use it daily for smoothies and protein shakes and it's still going 3 years later. It doesn't cope well if filled entirely with just frozen fruit, but even my Kenwood mixer needs a bit of liquid for that.

@WhyDoesItAlways I second this, not to expensive and weve had ours years and still working great

all shopping and wrapping done except for one gift for a 17 year old girl who has no interests other than sitting on her phone and watching the tv 🙈

she’s a fussy eater so no food or sweets, not into make up or personal care or hair products. Clothes are a no as don’t know her size. Not interested in stationary or wall prints or toiletries, asked about a nice water bottle or a tote bag and was told no so really at a loss. Budget about £20 but not a voucher.

help please? 🙏🏼

Heated throw or heated Oodie?

Thank you to the poster who suggested Pintail candles mystery boxes. I have just received my £20 box which contained two petite paint pots, a classic and a grand triple wick! So over £40 in value. Fabulous! Next year I will buy more and split for presents but this year they are to indulge my candle loving husband. Thank you again.

Mine has arrived today. I’m a bit disappointed with them to be honest. Which fragrances did you get? I got a 3 wick in Oakmoss which isn’t particularly Christmassy, a classic in Gingerbread Cottage and a petite pot in Santa’s Shortbread.

Ceejadess · 10/12/2025 14:48

Glad so many of you found the BubbleT advent calendar tip helpful!

My Joe & Seph popcorn finally arrived today, it has been stuck in the Royal Mail system for the last week so was worried! Really happy with the variety of flavours. I would like to gift some to the nursery as a Christmas gift for the room, would love any ideas of things to go with it/how to gift

IsThisIt2021 · 10/12/2025 14:57

Argh don’t suppose anyone knows anything about Hot wheels and bat wheels?! 🫣

My youngest is 8, he’s a massive bat wheels & hot wheels fan. I’m trying to find Jestah, Ducky & Buff die cast cars. I can see Buff on Amazon but can’t find the other 2 at all. Mattel said they don’t have any in stock and can not tell me where I could possibly find them.

Hes also asking for Racer Verse hot wheels. I’ve got him a pack of 4 from bargain max but the 3 packs I ordered are identical and they can’t send different ones 😬

I’m hoping one of you lovely lot may have seen some on your travels as I’m at a loss and going blind from googling!

Hi, I got a three wick in Christmas tree forest, a classic in incense and embers, a mini in fig and honeyed pear and a mini in Santa’s shortbread. I’m sorry you are a bit miffed.

Peakyblindsiders · 10/12/2025 16:01

Hi, does anyone have a spare Argos code that they would be kind enough to send me please? I will be spending £180 and any amount off would be great.

if anyone is looking for a nice chocolate gift I can highly recommend these and they look far more expensive than the £5.60 in the Christmas packaging: www.boots.com/monty-bojangles-christmas-town-choccy-scoffy-cocoa-dusted-truffles-tip-top-gift-130g-10267428

I also have a couple of money off codes if of use to any of you:
£10 off £60 spend at White Company - HJKLN7DH3
£5 off £20 spend at Build a Bear - 20061725345915345

They did say 50% off RRP which mine isn’t. I have emailed them. I guess it’s the risk you take with a mystery box and you might not get the scents you would have chosen.

Did anyone ever get their hi vis lime green snoods? So annoyed because they were £2.99 but £7.01 has been pending in my bank since dec 4th. I hope they won't take the wrong amount.. not heard a thing from them!

I ordered a black snood and haven’t heard a thing since either. Hmmmm.

SugarCookieMonster · 10/12/2025 16:44

If anyone has a Blue Diamond Garden centre nearby they have a sale on their clothes including Christmas socks, sleepwear etc. Plus if you have a loyalty card (free to sign up) you get 5% off.

I got some thick slipper socks, green cord skirt and a fluffy fleece half zip top.

Can I also say a huge thank you to everyone who contributes to these threads each year. I ‘donated’ £10 to a bogus charity yesterday (I even gave him a coffee cream chocolate out of the tin 😩) and was feeling really 💩 but this has reignited a bit of my Christmas spirit.

VelvetThunder · 10/12/2025 17:12

Just seen that Harry Potter double is £7.98 on Amazon.

I emailed this morning and I now have a dispatch email from them.

I have also had a snood dispatch email.

Ooh I’ve just had a shipping notification as well!

I guess that's the risk with mystery boxes of anything. Mine also arrived today and I got a mini Santa's Shortbread, classic Oakmoss and Gingerbread Cottage and a 3-wick Christmas Tree Forest. I'm really pleased, will use the 3-wick as a hostess gift for a party and probably use the Oakmoss in the new year as I may have gone slightly overboard with Christmas scents already!

flumposie · 10/12/2025 18:13

Thank you

I feel I’ve been slightly unlucky to get less in the box than others. Mine wasn’t 50% off RRP so I have emailed them. I think the Oakmoss smells like aftershave and I have the 3 wick in that.

RestitutionGranted · 10/12/2025 18:42

After almost 3 weeks I received my Sephora order. It was exacerbated by Evri but trying to contact Sephora was appalling.

I am never, ever buying online from Sephora again.

imnottoofussed · 10/12/2025 18:58

My hotel chocolate grand advent arrived today, I’m so glad I got it it’s fantastic for half price. Absolutely no way would I have paid full price though
