Thread 14 - the one where I'm still not sure what a cheese spoiler is

Reastie · 05/12/2025 07:28

Welcome to Christmas 2025!

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

Just pm'd you

Yes it's a lovely song. I name change every few weeks. I've decided using songs as usernames is the way forward, one song can cover several name changes

Me, too. There’s usually a theme as well.

There’s a name I reserve for these threads but I forgot to change it this time.

@IlovePond , don’t forget that £10 Tuesday things sometimes come back into stock before midnight.

AWintersDayInADeepAndDarkDecember · 09/12/2025 15:21

I’ve just looked up the Boots item which ILovePond wanted but which was out of stock. It says “44 sold in the last 24 hours.”

I am surprised that so few were available when part of ‘£10 Tuesday’, but that might explain why some items go out of stock quickly,

I really like the sound of this and trawled back to find details but when I go int Good Pair website it seems you have to subscribe. Did you buy the set as a one off? Many thanks 🙏

I think they offer it as a "joining gift" when you take the quiz to see what bottles you'd like, but I have never paid for anything other than the initial bottles that the box came with, it is easy to cancel straight away. Obviously double check t&cs in case that's changed though! So yes, I went through and ordered as a subscription, but cancelled straight away so it was a one-off.

daisyboo1 · 09/12/2025 15:59

Hopefully my final purchase - knitted wool Fairisle gloves in blue for my auntie. Doesn't mind the ones that flap over, or full fingers, but not fingerless, not a wristwarmer or long armed pair. I have looked everywhere I can possibly think of and now wonder whether anyone one here might know of somewhere independent or similar. I'd never heard of Gemjar before these threads, so am hoping to find the same but for gloves!

daisyboo1 · 09/12/2025 16:02

Anthropologie free delivery code of OUR TREAT on orders over £20. Not sure if it stacks with new member code as I'm still waiting for mine!

juicyjellybaby · 09/12/2025 16:06

@HeartandSeoul I’ve just seen on Facebook that jellycat have the snowsuit bunny back in stock

Any tips for gym kit? DS didn’t need any when all the Black Friday offers were on and castore was glitching - but has now announced he does!

I buy dry fit tops and shorts for my DS from Primark. They look very like Nike.

if you can’t find them in store then you can do click and collect.

Celtic & Co had some lovely ones which, with code XMAS25 gives you £20 off a full price item and including delivery they are £16.95? Very good for such lovely gloves.

daisyboo1 · 09/12/2025 14:56

Does anyone know of a Pooch and Mutt code that is working please? The one previously mentioned has now expired. Thank you.

Just checked my emails, on the 7th they sent:
XMAS20

@daisyboo1 you'd have to check out trust pilot as I don't know the site but would these fit the bill?

Ooh, that Bubble code is fabulous. I added the advent calendar (reduced) for £9.99 and it wouldn't apply the £10 referral voucher, but I added a cheap lipbalm (£2.95) to it, and it took the full £10 off, so I got the advent calendar plus the lipbalm for £2.95 (plus postage - which was reasonable).

Lots of codes on the referrals page.

OOooooo i think I have missed this looked further back cant see anything x

Puffalicious · 09/12/2025 16:27

Hi,

Someone posted the ASOS code gr me for 20/25% off & i can't find it when I'm scrolling the last thread. DS2 STILL hasn't ordered jeans he wants & I'm afraid it'll all be full price again 🙈

£10 off when signing up with a referral link at bubblet. The 12 day masking advent calendar is also reduced to £9.99 so add something cheap and you have a lovely gift. Lots of codes on referral thread here :

Thatsanotherfinemess1 · 09/12/2025 16:44

I think I'm looking for the impossible- a hip length fleece or velour lounge top or dressing gown (a zip up front would be amazing) in cerise, navy, bright red, burgundy or green size 8. For a smart, older lady to wear over pyjamas in hospital and to keep warm whilst convalescing (will have lots of visitors and will be embarrassed to be seen sitting around in an obvious dressing gown as usually very active). I thought there would be hundreds- so far only found one in f and f at Tesco that was a very dark browny black (not burgundy a s advertised) and one with weirdly thick arms and no front fastening in m and s

TherebytheGraceofGodgoI · 09/12/2025 16:50

@Thatsanotherfinemess1 how about this from Bonmarche?

Thread 14 - the one where I'm still not sure what a cheese spoiler is
daisyboo1 · 09/12/2025 16:59

Yes, @tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz those were the ones I'd earmarked but the code has expired. Shame as they are indeed lovely. Thank you for looking though.

Thanks for the post, but I’m not sure if you meant to tag me or not. I did comment on a Jellycat post, but I wasn’t looking one.

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads they fit the brief, so will investigate thank you. Looks like they have a Royal Warrant so hopefully Trustpilot rates them!

juicyjellybaby · 09/12/2025 17:03

@HeartandSeoul oops sorry about that 🤦‍♀️ I’ve no clue who was looking for the jellycat now 🤣

daisyboo1 · 09/12/2025 17:05

@HayuBingeWatcher thank you - that does indeed work on Christmas items.

13goingon31 · 09/12/2025 17:23

Does anyone have any recommendations on heated jackets/anything you can wear? It's for an elderly man who wants to move about in it so he doesn't want a blanket. Thanks x
