DH would love a very soft, cosy dressing gown for Christmas.

My DH has only asked for one present this year-a super soft, cosy dressing gown. I’ve had a look online but wondered if anyone had bought one and could vouch for the softness and cosiness. Thanks.

I have had two borg dressing gowns from Next in the past two years and they are blissfully soft and cosy. The men's version looks the same (just a bit shorter and more manly!)

Oodie, the best dressing gowns

My DH has an M&S Autograph one, thick black plush, nice and long, had a good for when his as bald head feels cold!

My daughter bought this one for DH (or very similar from last season Next) last Christmas and he said it was one of his best presents ever 😂 I think because it’s very soft and lightweight. He’d definitely recommend it

I've got one of those. Its soft, fluffy and cosy.

Glitterybee · 04/12/2025 08:36

M&S have the softest plushest dressing gowns.

Ive got 2 for gifts and was just thinking I wish I had of got one for myself!

My DD has the Rosie Thingummy-Whatsit dressing gown from M & S - I suspect it's the same quality as the Autograph ones for the men. It was bought from a charity shop a year ago, has been washed loads (she cooks in it, and has a tendency to get sleeves into various sauces). It is still beautifully warm, looks like new, and is genuinely her favourite item of clothing.

I'd go M & S.

I bought my dad this, he doesn't keep well so practically lives in it.

The fluffiest cosiest dressing gowns I have had in recent years have been Asda.
I looked at the women's ones in store in Next recently and they looked very feeble compared to Asda's offerings.

I got a Ted Baker one from TK Maxx. It’s the softest thing I’ve ever felt and was about £25.

UpMyself · 04/12/2025 10:55

@Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies I was given one and it was lovely but too long for me. Sad

@WithIcePlease , the women's are not normally as cosy at the men's.

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 04/12/2025 11:08

@UpMyself DD is 5'9", and it's long on her. But it is totally gorgeous.

PinkFootstool · 04/12/2025 11:11

Highly recommend the Oodie dressing gowns. I have one in Oodie size so it's enormous, DH has one in the large I think and it's a more normal size.

Highly recommend them, they are so warm. I live in mine as a housecoat for WFH 😂

hellswelshy · 04/12/2025 11:16

Have a browse in TK Maxx in person if you can, we got one for dh recently and he found a lovely navy not too fluffy but more velvety fleece type material one. Depends on how you are about material as I like to touch it first with this sort of important purchase haha 😄

thedogdaysareover51 · 04/12/2025 11:38

Thanks everyone. My DH bought me a Ted Baker dressing gown a few years ago (before it went bust) and it’s so soft! It’s like a soft velvet rather than fleece. Would love to get him one like this so I’ll try TKMaxx.
the Oodie ones looks lovely too.

Saw some beautiful ones in tk max this morning

Another vote for M and S. Mine is from the White Company and I paid a lot more for mine but keep stealing DH's as it is so much softer.
