Thread 12 - The one where it's All Pants (and socks)

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2025 20:27

Levi's pants and socks, that is. It's also exactly a month until Christmas!

Also, I have to thank @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease for this quote, as it really tickled me: "Well it's not going to be the one where we found the fucking flamingo.
Honestly I'm starting to despise the stupid, elusive, constipated thing." Sadly, it was too long to make the thread title.

Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

Yes, £4.99 to Scotland. I wanted to buy cheeses to share between hampers but I’m not paying postage! I’ve decided to split Joe and Steph Cyber Monday popcorn bundles instead - and I don’t have to keep it in the fridge either.

Threeboystwocatsandadog · 29/11/2025 16:17

I don’t know why that didn’t quote but was in reply to @VeruccaSalty

you do realise you are about to become a mumsnet cheese distributor center as we all pm you our addresses! 😁

I could become an elf 😀. Alternatively everyone could try and persuade their families that Skegness is lovely for a day trip at this time of year!!

Any hardback books for bedtime for a three to five-year-old?

I’d go with a classic - Winnie the Pooh, Wind in the Willows, Narnia.

Hello

I'm hoping someone can help me with an idea.
One of my team members is a wheelchair user, he has MS. I would like to get everyone in the team a Christmas present. I usually spend around £10 per person but have gone up to £20 if something felt right. I usually get candles, hand creams or snacks or similar things and don't necessarily get everyone the same thing. This team member doesn't snack as he wants to control his weight to stay mobile and I'm not sure he'd appreciate cosmetics. He's recently joined my team so I don't know him very well yet. Do you have any ideas what I could get him?

Edited

I would get him a book - and a gift receipt! Maybe something non fiction, usually a safer bet for men. Peter Kay’s diary is £10 on Amazon at the moment. Hope that helps

hugsandpugs · 29/11/2025 17:01

What’s the popcorn offer please? Must have missed that! Popping on every now and again to catch up as away in a cosy cottage for my birthday weekend 🥰

zacsGranny · 29/11/2025 17:27

Two results for me.
Fahlo gave me my extra 10% off even though they had reduced the bracelets. (I did ask when they would be dispatched but no reply)

Got my birthday discount from Levis, even though my actual birthday was last weekend, so ordered a T shirt for £5 delivered.

Threeboystwocatsandadog · 29/11/2025 17:37

@hugsandpugs

Joe and Steph’s have some cyber Monday deals which also work with the code BLACKFRIDAY. I had to pay postage but was still only about £22 for two bundles. I’m splitting them to add to hampers I’m making.

£4.62 for You Choose Christmas at the moment - our other You Choose books have been well loved, so I’m excited for this one

I LOVE You Choose. Very tempted to get it for my adult kids just for the nostalgia.

CalliopePlantain · 29/11/2025 18:22

JK Rowlings Christmas Pig is on offer for just over £4. My 6yo and 8 year olds both love this.

Could anyone help on how to get Wonderbly discount codes/referrals/credits to stack please?
I've tried a referral and the black Friday discount but it just swaps them out 🥲

Brightvoyager · 29/11/2025 18:32

I’m after shortbread? I think people were buying hampers a few weeks ago. Any bargains or extra codes to look out for please?

Amazon seems to have a variety of wrapping paper that would suit.

Has anyone spotted a great deal on clarins skincare? Not sets including makeup. Thank you

The clarins website has has 25 / 30% off for the past couple of days for BF. Worth signing up to their newsletter. I think John Lewis are also matching their deal. You tend to get quite a few free samples too

Popcorn is a fab deal, thanks so much for highlighting it. I’ve gone for one of the bundles for me/our house and then the massive bag of 7g bags (a usual single serving multi pack bag is 14g so not a truly tiny serving). I’m going to send them into the school staff room for the end of term, along with some chocolates.

Ah thank you I did look there but seems to be just sheets and I need a couple of rolls

EvilHerbivore · 29/11/2025 19:20

I seem to be doing pretty well today - put a £5 lip balm in my basket at elf and had a ‘click here for £4 off’ message and since it’s free delivery this weekend, got it for £1!
Be a cute little stocking filler if it works for anyone else?

I have just ordered a cheese advent too. Might give it to my dad for his birthday on Tuesday as an extra. Hope my parents have room in their fridge!

The cheese...
I'm only getting 10% off with newsletter code. Am I missing something when people are ordering for £12?

Puffalicious · 29/11/2025 19:39

Just been RL shopping at 2 absolutely stunning garden centres- so Christmassy, & I spent so much money I'm glad I've saved do much from these threads!

Just ordered the popcorn, & have £33 worth of cheese in my basket at the Chuckling Cheese company, but the 10% code (BCVLKCK5) isn't working says it's reached maximum usage. I don't mind joining their list for 10% they're offering, but you need to agree to getting texts! Not into that at all.

Any other 10% codes floating around? Otherwise I'll just leave it.
