Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

£7.55 for this karaoke machine! Might be a glitch but worth a try if you are looking for one https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B086C82ZRJ?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=pepperegc-21&ascsubtag=ppr-uk-2906401459

I've ordered this, mostly so I can chuck out the hideous echoey one the kids have now. No idea if this will be any better.

From CamelCamelCamel this is the lowest price, but seems to be very up and down and regularly drops to around a tenner so I think this is just their sales tactic

Returning to the happiest corner of MN for another request for advice please! I received such great advice when I asked about Thomas the tank engine trains for DS 😍 I hope some of you will oblige me again!

I need to buy a gift for DNiece, she’s coming up to 5 now and I’ve been told she likes Barbies. (She’s a lovely little girl, but we don’t see her very often unfortunately).

I’ve seen some good deals in the BF sales and am thinking of getting her either a Barbie vet play set or Barbie Skipper babysitter play set. The vet play set comes with some little animals and accessories and the babysitter play set comes with Barbie baby dolls and a cot etc. Anybody with DC a similar age - what do you think they’d prefer, or are neither very good ideas?? Any better suggestions or good deals spotted? I also saw a Barbie scientist play set but I fear thats appealing to me through my adult & slightly geeky eyes and she might not actually like it quite as much 😂

Thanks in advance to anybody that has any suggestions ❤️

The little one in our family - 4 in February- got the Barbie and her babies for her birthday last year and has played with it loads. Handy to just take the babies out in a bag too.

Just poppod on to say the bath and body works candles are on sale in next at £17.50. Selling quickly but I only buy them when on sale.
Also got my £20 Anthro voucher but their website is a bloody pain. You have to log in with a text code every time and I have poor signal where I live. Then I had the Black Friday prices which then makes the voucher invalid. Thinking of givIng up on them tbh. (Voucher was 3 full days for those waiting)

Thanks for this I’ve ordered one. My son wants a guitar so we can gig out 🤣

if anyone sees any 3/4 electric guitars with amp please let me know. Gears4 music had one for £85 which looks great. Just wondering if there will be further bf deals

Ladybaga · 21/11/2025 16:38

Does anyone have an argos discount code they aren't going to use please? Our hoover just broke and its such a big outlay at this time of year! :(

PersisFord · 21/11/2025 16:47

@stepfordwifey so many good suggestions here. I would add things like wordsearches, colouring, suduko as it is BORING but hard to concentrate on a book. Also a handheld fan that has a stand so she can just prop it up - hospitals are sometimes BOILING and the chemo can make people feel a but flushed and hot.

PersisFord · 21/11/2025 16:48

Can anyone talk to me about dryrobes or their cheaper equivalents? My kids have all decided they would like them but given how much stuff we lose at sports I am very reluctant to spend over £100 on them!!

Merrow · 21/11/2025 16:51

Not very Christmassy, but Boots have good offers on car seats with an additional 15% off with BABYBF and then top cashback is offering 10% on boots today. I also had an advantage card offer for an additional 550 points and joined the parenting club for 8 points per £1 spend.

If you factor in the cashback and points I got the folding Cybex G2 for just over £80. Even if the cashback doesn't track it's still a great price, which is what I'm going to explain to DP when they wonder why I've bought a new car seat for traveling!

Hi Paris. I have. Regatta one that is excellent. My kids wanted one each so I got them in summer from online home store. They were so cheap by comparison but honestly brilliant!

Some little bastard cloned my credit card one year and tried spending that at Lindt!

😮I wish MN had a shocked react option, because I would use it probably every day!

Keep an eye on Next clearance, I got my daughter’s for around £15, they are huge so definitely size down unless getting changed in them. They tend to call them changing robes on their site if you are searching. The Regatta ones are good too, Amazon sometimes have good deals on them.

pinkchampagne1 · 21/11/2025 17:08

Thanks for the new thread 😊

hby9628 · 21/11/2025 17:10

@PersisFordweve got Time & Tide ones from Amazon. They are decent.
I notice regatta have some on offer on Amazon too depending on the sizes you need.

Petal7 · 21/11/2025 17:12

@Ughy , Heinz do personalised tins of beans. They also do personallsed ketchup, which went down well with my ketchup fan!

DD has asked for a Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour wand. Has anyone seen any discounts please?

They’re reduced to £24 at John Lewis. Or 35% off at Charlotte Tilbury if you buy 2. They also have gift sets on offer at CT (they usually have more on the app than the website).

SleeptightDaisy · 21/11/2025 17:16

Just wondering if anyone has an Argos code they won't be using. I've got an order for £150 so just wondering if I could bring it down a little. TIA

LostMyRubySlippers · 21/11/2025 17:19

Does anyone have any idea on how to get a discount on Yorkshire trading co please? Tried all the usual tricks of signing up to mailing list etc but nothing doing.
im just being tight really as it’s cheap anyway but I begrudge paying postage!!

Have you downloaded the app to get an extra £5 off? Could also trying purchasing a gift card through jam doughnut or tcb & you can still then go through cash back site as normal?

Re: TopCashback with M&S flowers, does anyone know it still works if I use the 20% off of flowers offer (via Sparks)?

I’m not using the app, but it automatically wants to use the offer when I log in on the website. I wasn’t sure if this offer would cancel the TopCashBack.

ISimplyDontBelieveIT · 21/11/2025 17:25

Oh I've just noticed this thread! I've posted this in S&B but it might make more sense here.
I’m planning to send all my nieces a piece of jewellery this year. They’re aged between 19 and 26, and there are five of them, so I’m hoping to make the most of Black Friday discounts. I’m looking for decent quality necklaces, ideally initial ones. Budget is around £30 each, but I’d prefer buying something that’s been reduced from a much higher original price so that the quality is better (not to make it look like I spent more). Any recommendations?

I’ve just tried it with my Sparks offer also applied and it seems to be pending at about 10% in my TCB app.
Better than nothing!

TheGirlWhoLived · 21/11/2025 17:33

@ISimplyDontBelieveIT abbott lynn do some good Black Friday deals as does hot diamonds and Lisa angel- not sure what’s floating about at the monent but keep your eyes out!

weebarra · 21/11/2025 18:00

I haven’t researched anything yet, but DS1 is at college studying professional cookery. He’d really like a deep fat fryer (apparently a pan of oil and a wire basket won’t cut it). Obviously as it’s a household appliance he doesn’t want it for Christmas, but his 18th birthday is two days before so…
Any thoughts as to the best place to get a good one - not huge as our kitchen is full of gadgets!
