Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

My son has wrote his Christmas list, and it's all brainrot items (e.g. 67)? Does anyone know where I can get any cheap stuff?

B&m have squishy brain rots for £2.50. They also have blind bags but I cant remember the price sorry. They sell cards as well but ive had no luck finding these yet and ive tried 4 different stores!
Amazon have a set of cards that look like top trumps for around £11-£13, let me see if I can find them again........

https://amzn.eu/d/6M2d8vw oh how annoying theyre out of stock now sorry. The price was going up and down on these.

Speak of toothbrushes, does anyone know if oral b sell non-Disney heads for kids electric toothbrushes? Struggling to find some for tween DD. Thanks!

We just get the 'sensitive clean' ones x

Changingagain · 23/11/2025 14:53

Hi, could anyone let me know if they spot mini brands balls cheap somewhere. DD particularly want the baby series 2, animal and fill the fridge ones but likes most of them.

Must be somewhere that delivers as there's not many shops near us. Thanks x

wizardchess · 23/11/2025 14:53

I'm not having any luck with the hismile toothbrush. It always shows as sold out. I went in at 8.06 am as it said more in stock at 8am and still sold out!
Is there a trick to it?
Edited to say I see it is Australia time! So I need to check at 10pm I think.

CalliopePlantain · 23/11/2025 15:09

Code SAVE5 gives you £5 off and free delivery for a £50 spend at Debenhams

hby9628 · 23/11/2025 15:28

@kittens1 there are some cute handcream sets on boot for £2.50 each

ProfessorDameMonsterSink · 23/11/2025 15:32

Aldi have their version of the Lush snow fairy shower gel in stock now as well as Lidl.

A present idea - on Aliexpress search for "custom paint by numbers" and you can get a photo converted into canvas to paint on. Price varies from £6-14 but depends on size.

ProfessorDameMonsterSink · 23/11/2025 15:33

Also - the monster Nutcracker guy is available from all Costcos near you, it's just OOS online.

juicyjellybaby · 23/11/2025 15:34

My daughter has asked for a working sparkly microphone that she seen on Etsy but the cheapest I can find with postage is £70 🤦‍♀️ has anyone seen anything like this anywhere cheaper? I really don’t want to spent that much on a microphone

Tik tok shop if nobody else has recommended it! Loads on there. I’m so tired of hearing 67 😂

hugsandpugs · 23/11/2025 15:59

Pooch and mutt have emailed me a code for 45% off and 2 free gifts if anyone wants the code? I assume it’s generic

Arthien · 23/11/2025 16:12

Finally caught up - having a newborn really does interrupt my bargain hunting 😂

I think it was @cuwins asking about night lights previously - my son loves his Ikea rocket. We just plug it in and "lock" it onto red mode all night, and it's done. No switching off after a short time or running out of battery. https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/aftonsparv-led-table-lamp-rocket-multicolour-00555231/

Can anyone recommend a foldable hiking walking stick? And if anyone spots a free delivery code for Mountain Warehouse, please shout. I've had a request for a hat but no time to go shopping IRL!

AFTONSPARV rocket LED table lamp - IKEA UK

AFTONSPARV rocket-shaped LED lamp lights up in 7 colours. Perfect for little astronauts' rooms. Safe and child approved.

Could you buy a normal microphone and add glitter vinyl wrap yourself? Sounds easy in theory but might not be.

Yes, 10pm tonight. I've found they usually stay there for at least 10 minutes but might depend on popularity of colour and how hard the riddle is.

Anyone got any idea how to get a dunelm discount? I want a rug and anything off would be great!
I know they were giving 10% off vouchers with purchases last week but I stupidly missed out on that.

I'd just like to suggest using the description of your rug (colour/pattern/size etc.) to google (they (Dunelm) buy from outside manufacturers)

Try with The Range, Rugs Direct and Kukoon

eta; if you don't mind linking your rug, I'd happily google for you 😊

I do remember reading that when I first took the subscription out. However, I've been using it for years now and it has always stacked.

Oh brilliant great to know - I’ve avoided using the two at the same time as I thought they wouldn’t work

hugsandpugs · 23/11/2025 16:36

I’ve got a 20% off code for crocs which includes sale items if anyone needs that?

I have to buy 8 gifts for my team but I don’t have a company budget, it’s a token ‘thanks’ gift out of my own pocket. Last year I spent £7 each on a nice tin of shortbread from Marks and Spencer which was gratefully received by everyone. I don’t earn lots of money so even though £7 each seems mean when you are buying 8 it adds up.

I don’t want to get shortbread again this year, maybe chocolate but max budget is again £7. Any ideas please? Even better if I can buy discounted! Thanks 🙏

If it’s appropriate to buy a bottle of wine, I’d say this is a good time to use one of the many wine referral deals out there.

I did this last year to order a box of wine which was all parcelled up as individual gifts for team members and it was great value as they were nice wines.

I didn’t choose one of the cases they have on offer; instead I picked various individual bottles of red, white or rose according to the taste of the individuals and they all seemed to go down well.

there are lots of Laithwaites referrals on the other thread and you can get £80 worth of wine for only £40 with a voucher and at the moment both the referrer and the referred person get a free bottle of cremant delivered before Christmas too.

I don’t get the riddles in time! I’m not good at them 🙈 so thinking should give up and just buy the £10 one.
