Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

Oh I've just noticed this thread! I've posted this in S&B but it might make more sense here.
I’m planning to send all my nieces a piece of jewellery this year. They’re aged between 19 and 26, and there are five of them, so I’m hoping to make the most of Black Friday discounts. I’m looking for decent quality necklaces, ideally initial ones. Budget is around £30 each, but I’d prefer buying something that’s been reduced from a much higher original price so that the quality is better (not to make it look like I spent more). Any recommendations?

These pearl ones with initial at Anthropologie are £31.50 if you sign up for perks

Monogram Pearl Necklace

Shop the Monogram Pearl Necklace and more Anthropologie at Anthropologie. Read reviews, compare styles and more.

I would appreciate a code please if it’s multi use?

I've PMd you a 20% code for Ugg. Full price only, though. I hope that helps ❤️

I'm looking for a gadget idea for DH please. I gave him the endoscope last year, that was recommended on these threads, and that was a big hit.
If it helps for more targeted ideas, he's a keen cyclist; does his own bike maintenance and enjoys DIY.

I’ve got my DH a knife sharpener and a wind up radio for when the world goes to shit 😂

ElleBelleLou · 22/11/2025 13:30

God bless this thread! I've gone from stressing and losing sleep over Christmas present shopping without a clue where to start to getting 4 bought, 12 more to buy and a solid start made!! All in 3 days - you bloody angels

Puffalicious · 22/11/2025 13:37

Anyone seen offers anywhere on an annual cinema pass- Odeon or Cineworld? Been thinking of this for DS19. He's always terrible for giving me ideas, & it was is birthday last week, so all my ideas were used on that!

I seem to remember last year that they reduced it quite a bit a few days before Xmas, so perhaps I'll just need to hold on.

cheesychipsontheoche · 22/11/2025 13:37

On the Amazon wine talk, this is a decent one and is less than £23 for 6 bottles on s&s https://amzn.eu/d/djJQsPc

IlovePond · 22/11/2025 13:38

@RestitutionGranted and @Solmum1964 - I have got a big tin of stuff for emergencies, some of the contents of which would make quite good presents:

Swiss Army knife
Wind up lantern
Wind up/solar-powered radio
Large candles
Big matches

Plus a metal bucket that can be used for cooking.

The Fahlo bracelets code is BUY5 I had an email today saying it's still on

Edited to say, sorry it was plushies being asked about not bracelets. I would expect the offer will come back up, last year they switched through various deals all through the end of November

IlovePond · 22/11/2025 13:56

Hi guys, if buying toiletries from Amazon, please check:

They are genuine
That products can be returned if faulty/look fake

I bought some super-expensive hair treatment products from Amazon that were cheaper than elsewhere. They arrived and as soon as I opened the bag I thought: Fake - no English instructions and just didn’t look right.

I wasn’t going to risk it with potentially dangerous chemicals. I tried to organise a return, only to discover the parcel was non-returnable/refundable.

I rang Amazon CS who were wonderful and organised a refund. I am very relieved but won’t be making that mistake again.

Thought I would mention it in case other people are in the same situation.

ive just been into Lidl to get some of the Lush dupe stuff. They have dupes of the M&S apothecary hand wash and body wash too- the Revigorant fragrance in particular is lovely and all of the above are a couple of quid. They also have some gorgeous Xmas plates - set of 2 for 3.99 and also some nice Xmas mugs for 2.99. I bought the plates and they are nice and heavy (feel like good quality). They are serving plates rather than dinner plates though and not dishwasher safe

@MamaRolyIf you look on the Christmas topic, there’s a separate thread on ideas for 12/13 yo boys so that might help.
My own 13yo boy is in XL children’s for bottoms (as he’s skinny and the men’s don’t stay up) but in men’s XS for tops as he likes them baggy. Hollister might be an alternative to sportswear. DS has only worn sportswear for about 5yrs but actually like some of the stuff in Hollister

When my friend was having chemo she appreciated hand cream as her skin was so dry from the treatment and the hospital environment but also some nail polish to do her nails. Having lost her hair she said it made her feel she was still feminine. The woman she still is.

I.m goin through it now. Warm socks a s fingerless gloves.

Puffalicious · 22/11/2025 14:18

@Mamaroly Conversely my DS 13 is almost the height of his dad and is a small men's size (starting to grow out of these🙈) so perhaps for longevity men's sizes might be better?

My DS is all about the gaming (PS5 this year) & his sport (karate) but have ordered our country team football top as loves watching. If your DS plays, you could pick him up some unusual international club team ones (I always did this for my two older boys who loved being different on the pitch with their mates) or most teams do training tops which are significantly cheaper.

Otherwise, I still buy Lego for all 3 of mine (others are 19 & 21)- the 'adult' sets are popular e.g the bonsai tree, sports trainer, Marvel, or world city ones.

Does he have Blokus? Brilliant game- I've just bought 3 more for presents (one a 16 yr old boy). It was down to £12.99 on Amazon.

Adidas/ Nike/ Northface hoodie always goes down well here, especially the more fashion-forward ones, to distinguish from their sports clothes (enjoy this phase before they want strange stuff from Urban Outfitters!). Very have good BF offers on.

Vans always popular with mine too. Good for street sports.

Finally, does he have a Buff? We have so many designs it's ridiculous, but they are brilliant, especially if he's a street sport boy.

cheesychipsontheoche · 22/11/2025 14:28

Montirex is the tween fave round here and they have some very good deals in their sale currently. I got 2 pairs of leggings, one shorts and three tops for just over £50 delivered direct from them

I’ve found another website that suggests it could be a scam site - I’ve reported my post to have it deleted but no one order from here in meantime!!

Any chance you saw any Lush-like bath bombs?

Fillybuster · 22/11/2025 15:24

Some lovely suggestions already, @nothingtoseehereatall - my mum has just finished her treatment and really appreciated a beautiful silk scarf, which she has learnt to tie into a super stylish turban until her hair returns. It was such a success she’s gone on to buy herself a few more scarves in different colours to match her outfits and is enjoying getting quite creative with them!

Glasgow Soap Company has lovely lip balms in tins, funky bars of soap and other toiletries in Christmassy scents like Mulled Wine or Gingerbread, or Irn bru for Scotland fans, or S’no Faerie Lush dupe.
Buy three, get one free.

They’re a small, family-run business making everything by hand in Scotland. I’m not affiliated in any way!

The stripy candy cane soap is really cute!

These look amazing, thank you for the link!

Ewock · 22/11/2025 15:35

I've bought my dd some Tonies today, some from Smyths with other bits to spend £50 to get the £5 off. And some on the Tonies website. Everything on there is 20% off and if you spend over £20 you get a free gift. The gift was a mouse tonie that has songs on it.
