This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

The 'Dasher' books arrived from Amazon. Absolutely beautiful illustrations & a story with a moral that brought a tear to my ear.

Thanks to the poster. I got 4 copies for £10.61.

Was real life shopping today...if anyone has a Boyes near them they had Firetrap fragrance gift sets containing 3 x 30ml bottles for £5.99. Absolute bargain.

Actually the ladies one is showing as only £4.99 on home bargains. Maybe not that much of a bargain after all

Looking for a PS5 Slim disc edition for DS3 (not digital, where all the deals appear to be 🙄).

Best I've seen is Amazon at £449 Inc the NBA game (which is not particularly interesting to DS3). Anyone got any tips to get something off elsewhere? Or do I hold my nerve for Black Friday?

Also looking for an air-fryer. Duo, large, possibly with capacity for the drawer to be one, large one (my friend has a Sur la Table, but they seem to have changed it to be duo only). Ninja or similar. Much appreciated as I'm driving myself mad looking for deals!

Reastie, I'm so sorry to hear about health issues my lovely. You don't need to 'do better' and I'm always happy to keep the thread running. Sending gentle hugs to you x

Thanks for the group clock alternative recommendations on the last thread! The Philips Hue Go is what I was thinking of I think but ooooft it is pricey so may be going back to the drawing board on that one 😅

Karistyleaftea · 16/11/2025 18:47

Hope you feel better soon Reastie.

Does anyone know if the national history museum shop normally discounts? I need a few bits that I'm worried might sell out but tempted to leave it until the end of this week!

For what it's worth, please don't apologise. Your thread is part of our Christmas each year, more than you know.

From DH hearing me gasp like a gossipy old biddy "ooooh, the hampers have been cancelled"....or "hold my wine, John Lewis is glitching!" to the bargain hive searching for a little reindeer (Otis?) to make a little boy's Christmas that little bit more magic, this little corner of happiness wouldn't exist without you @Reastie

Countrywide, you have become a Christmas tradition for thousands of us. I'm so sorry to hear of your health issues, but in no way do you need to "do better." You've done so much more than you realise, for so many people, for so many years now.

From me, and on behalf every one of us you bring together each year. Thank you x

aw so sorry to hear that @Reastie sending lots of virtual good vibes your way 💛@RainbowZebraWarrior thanks for the new thread am just catching up and was still on the last one! @CrimboPourLesKids I saw on the last thread you were looking for K-pop bits, I ended up buying a bunch of stuff key rings, slap bands and stickers for my DD K-pop themed birthday party bags from AliExpress first time using it and was really pleased, I also got I this derpy cuddle toy which would be perfect stocking size (although slightly smaller than I thought it would be) Hope this helps 💜if I end up with any of the other stuff spare after the party also more than happy to post you some (will just sit in my garage for years otherwise) edited for weird link hopefully working now

Asda has the scoville two drawer one on a blCk Friday deal I think.

Sending love @Reastie 💐
