@SomethingOfTheNight I’m sure workers from the original Turtle Doves are now doing their own thing at whinberry gifts. Gloves are much cheaper and excellent quality. (Have just bought some). Also bought gloves from Tazzies as previously mentioned.

IRL bargain- b&m had two pairs of stripey slippers with huge bows for £8- they look a lot like they could be from anthro and they are very comfy! Very joyful. Sorry no photo!

I don’t really use mumsnet apart from this thread (and in the last few years the Nigel slater Christmas chronicles thread- thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior) and can honestly say you have made a huge difference to my enjoyment of this time of year, and over the many years you (and all the lovely people here too) have made a HUGE difference to my children who have had some wonderful memories of fantastic presents (and I have had so much fun buying for them). Whinberry Gifts was also mentioned as a replacement (the poster thought it was likely they had previously worked for TD). I bought a pair from there and was very happy with them. They’ve already done an early access 20% off that finished on Sunday so I imagine there’ll be another offer closer to the date.

Just been sorting my dds birthday and Xmas list, she's a Dec baby. Organising it to get the best of the money off in Smyths.
I was checking prices elsewhere and 3 of the Moriah Elizabeth items she wanted were much cheaper in Argos.
The mystery planet set was £22.50 in Argos rather than £29.99 at smyths.
The mystery pluch 28cm was £15 instead of £20 and the 15cn mystery plush was £8 instead of £10.
There was also a squishmallow Daxxon the alien which was £34 and its £39.99 in smyths. So not a bad amount of saving.
Still sending dh to Smyths tomorrow to buy other bits for both dc whilst the money off offer is on 🤣

I’ve not purchased anything myself but the pieces look lovely, grown up and something I think 12 year old me would like!
