This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

this play dough set is showing as £15 for me (with a voucher which you click to apply) instead of £30

@Serenitesanta Tesco had a 6ft gold tinsel tree that’s pre lit. £26, I bought one! It’s very sparkly but you can’t hang baubles on it, it comes with them already hung. The Jehovah’s witnesses were very complimentary when they came to the door 😆

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 18/11/2025 20:05

There is a chocolate to caramel Hotel Chocolate Sleekster that is still £23 odd
If anyone needs one

fruitfly3 · 18/11/2025 20:27

@Raindancer411 Actik core head torch - £50 last year. My avoid DIY husband absolutely loves it (and did loads of research

@BeeKeeping bug catcher, gel candle for roasting marshmallows half way through, litter picker (honestly, this is a game changer),

I am massively disappointed with FunkoPop.

I decided to splurge on the Pop Yourself thing - where you can customise Funko Pops - to do one of DH and I as a surprise.

Well they delivered the bloody thing in a bright sky blue box with “Pop! Yourself” branding in HUGE letters all over it. You absolutely couldn’t miss it. Of course DH received the parcel, so it is now blatantly obvious what it is.

At £85 it wasn’t cheap, and to top it off it’s not even well done. The mock-up looked like us, but the actual characters are different enough from the mock-up that they just look random. And they are not packaged the same way in the box as regular funko pops - they are sort of shrunk-wrapped to the backing cardboard, so don’t present well.

They are not even returnable as customised items are excluded from returns 😏

This happened to me. I emailed them with photos of what I ordered versus what I got and they sent out a replacement very quickly. I had ordered a Funko pop for a 15-year-old boy and it came with completely different hair which wasn’t even put on properly so it had a receding hairline! I complained about the crappy shrink wrap as well and it doesn’t seem to be on the new one either. Still in an obviously branded box though!

My son has circled this in the Smyths catalogue. I didn’t really want to buy it but £15 is tempting…

(he has circled most things in the catalogue though)

I’m tempted to get one for my great niece but …. I’ve already been tempted by the coffee set bath toy, the Jaques of London camper van and I’m now looking at the fleecy Asda pyjamas further up the page. She’s the first girl in our family since her mum 30 years ago and all dh’s great grandchildren are boys. It would be easy to get carried away but I’d have to spend equally on the 7 little boys! I think need to hide this thread.

edited for spelling

John Lewis have one Very much not a bargain though!

I know! John Lewis is the only one I’ve seen anywhere 🤷‍♀️
So maybe they’ll have 50% BF sale …. Only in my dreams
It’s so beautiful.
Or I’ll watch it & get it in the sale after Christmas for next year 😉
Can you set a notification thing on John Lewis if something goes on sale?
Thanks for looking

edinburghoreo · 18/11/2025 21:11

Currently browsing the outlet at Flannels which has some good deals worth browsing for brand-lovers in your life!

Very cheeky.. does anyone have a student code I could use for it? TBH I'm not sure if it would stack on top of the sale price anyway but worth a go :)

this is a great set. Brought for my 4 year old recently and it’s much better than the ice cream play doh swirl machine. Definitely worth it.

I normally stick to posting bargains, but need some help! Have late 30s/early 40s SIL as my secret santa. Lives a long way away so we barely see her. She likes high end beauty, but the budget is £30. Help!

Next have some good Xmas cracker gifts with beauty gifts in. I got one for my SIL.

InDreamland · 18/11/2025 21:48

Had anyone seen this Chatty Angel puppetronic cheaper than £49.99 anywhere? It's not the more expensive RealFX one. Amazon have it for £39.99 but delivery is likely after Christmas now so don't want to chance it. It's the only thing DD1 wants from Father Christmas.

What was the lowest price the giant Cadbury’s went to last year approx, does anyone remember? I’m pretty sure I didn’t buy any as they didn’t get anywhere near the low prices of 2023

Wow I just went to look up to see how much I paid for them. Turns out I didn’t buy them last year… it was 2022.

Now how did that happen. Must’ve been a time warp 😂

I paid £3.83 then. Ah the good old days.

Talisin · 18/11/2025 22:07

@Serenitesanta This is sold out but it’s always worth leaving a tab open and refreshing the page when it’s Next in case of returns.

Babynumberthreeee · 18/11/2025 22:12

I don't know why the link isn't working. Its this one. Says available in 2 weeks

I baulk at paying anything more than £4.50 because of those bargains!

Be careful with this they have started charging a £2 non collection fee

I saw this message and had a strop because I had til tonight to collect my order but wasn't going to get it and let them refund me (didn't have time to go) but thankfully mine was a pre-order and isn't subject to this charge. Bit cheeky of them to apply that fee, especially as they don't say anything about it in their emails

HouseWithASeaView · 18/11/2025 22:21

@Flubadubbait might be worth checking out the Space NK deals on BF. They had some good ones last year. If you’re lucky, £30 might get you a lipstick or eyeshadow… but you’d have to know what brands she likes and what shades work for her.
