Have you started Christmas shopping? Wrapping? Do you have the Christmas tree/decorations up yet? Christmas Day plans sorted? Seems some people are organised SO early others so last minute I’d say I’m somewhere in the middle. :)

Half way with shopping. Dread wrapping. Need to find a nice tree x

usedtobeone · 12/11/2025 14:32

I’ve finished and wrapped it all.

Allthings · 12/11/2025 14:32

Finished shopping yesterday. Waiting for a couple things to be delivered and then will think about wrapping. Tree doesn’t go up until mid December.

Food delivery slot is booked. List will need refining nearer the time.

I’m organised. I also don’t like going shopping with crowds full of winter bugs and like to kick back in December as much as possible rather than scurry around. Been there and done that and I much prefer to start and finish early as its less stressful.

REP22 · 12/11/2025 14:44

Started shopping - but only because I ordered a book in the local bookshop for my M's upcoming birthday and saw others on display that my DM and DB would like, plus a long out-of-print one that I enjoyed when younger and know my DNephew would love. Also a small gift for sending to a friend in Scotland.

No idea what else to get for DNephew (20) and DNiece (16) though. Absolutely clueless this year. I hate just getting vouchers or putting cash in envelopes.

Blondiney · 12/11/2025 14:53

Finished the shopping but no doubt I'll end up wrapping everything on Christmas Eve as usual 🙄

NearlyDec · 12/11/2025 14:53

Kids stocking gifts and advent bought
I’m planning the kids gifts and will buy them all soon
I get my Dad a variation on the same theme so that will be easy
My niece and nephew are teenagers so just get cash
Christmas day plan is same as usual but I need to discuss who is bringing what
Real tree will be bought and put up first weekend of Dec
wreath making session with friends is booked.
kids christmas jumpers, dresses and Pjs for party sorted

I might do a north pole Christmas this year on 1st Dec as it’s a Saturday

Berlin2018 · 12/11/2025 14:58

I normally have but DH is in charge this year so he’s barely started. I’ve asked him to take over with a fixed budget as he’s much less emotional in buying for the kids and much more likely not to overspend. Really hope he progresses a bit more soon though.

NoCheesesForUsMeeces · 12/11/2025 15:23

Started shopping - yes and I'd say I'm 75% done.

Wrapping - no, I can't wrap until the decs are up, it would feel weird.

Tree up - no, aiming for first weekend in December ish.

Christmas Day plans - nope. Currently in a stalemate with DH.

I feel I'm very in the middle with organisation.
My best mate was done with shopping by start of November and her wrapping will be done in the next week while my sister has 3 dc and hasn't bought a single thing yet (and probably won't until she does a mad dash day of shopping around 7th December).

HibiscusCoffee · 12/11/2025 15:28

Have you started Christmas shopping? Not really, one or two stocking things, am usually further ahead by now with stocking things but haven't usually bought any other presents yet
Wrapping? There's nothing to wrap! But I wouldn't usually wrap until the week before Christmas anyway
Do you have the Christmas tree/decorations up yet? Good heavens no, December 16 or thereabouts
Christmas Day plans sorted? Everyone is coming to ours, looking forward to it

ChewbaccasMrs · 12/11/2025 17:36

Started shopping,22 presents bought so far lots still to get.
I've nearly finished buying all the presents for the stockings(I have 8 too do)buying the last bits for those on Friday.
We've bought all of the Christmas cards for our family.
Bought some wrapping paper and tags will need to get more.

Planning on being finished before December gets here so we'll do all the wrapping the end of this month.

All organised for where everyone will be and pretty much know what I'm cooking and making for the day.

No decorations up yet we put ours up in December.

tinyspiny · 12/11/2025 17:40

Lots of shopping done and my husband does all the wrapping so not my problem .

sciaticafanatica · 12/11/2025 19:51

I only have adults and a 3 year old to buy for,so it’s all done and wrapped.
food is ordered from M&S and Tesco slot is booked!
tree will go up Xmas eve .
i like it all done before December so the month of Christmas is about doing nice things and relaxing and not shopping

AxolotlEars · 12/11/2025 20:11

Start shopping/making in January. Just packed everything that I already had, including packaged for posting. Still need to finish buying for my adult children.
Tesco slots done.
I doubt there'll be decorations before the first week of December

Stressedoutmummyof3 · 12/11/2025 21:03

This year I had to buy presents from my dad and MIL for my DS. So I have got those but haven't done any shopping of my own.
Tree will go up last day of November. We're away for Christmas this year so I don't have to worry about the main food shop but will buy some bits.
I hate wrapping. I think I'm putting off buying presents so I don't have to wrap up.

grafittiartist · 12/11/2025 21:08

Not a bit.
but November is birthday month in this house, so that’s usual.

RandomUsernameHere · 12/11/2025 21:38

I’ve started but still have most of it to do, aiming to be completely finished by the end of November. Wrapping can wait until nearer the time. Will decorate soon I think!

I’m sure 1st is Monday x

Cherryrainbow · 12/11/2025 22:28

Kids stuff is more or less done and wrapped. Just 1 or 2 bits left waiting to be delivered.

Partner is half done.

Need to finish mum's gifts and then buy for stepdad and my sister and her partner. (It was her birthday today so she's letting me know next week what she wants)

Main dessert and starter for Xmas day are in the freezer I just gotta get sides and nibbles closer to the time.

Kickinthenostalgia · 12/11/2025 22:35

you can say I’m almost finished, I’m just awaiting 2 things that are on pre order due mid December. Then just need 2 lush bath bombs for dc Christmas Eve box, some chocolates for dd stocking because the ones I ordered were surprisingly out of stock on my tesco order 🙄 and also need a pouch of terrys sensations for my sister. I plan on wrapping when the tree is up hopefully by next weekend. So I don’t have to store them anywhere. We leave them in bags for life under the tree and then decant them all a few days before Christmas.

FurForksSake · 12/11/2025 22:36

Half way through shopping I’d guess. No wrapping yet. I’m having hip surgery on Friday and will be on crutches till Christmas so I’m potentially not as far forward as I’d like!

1st December is on monday!

fourelementary · 12/11/2025 22:50

*Have you started Christmas shopping?•
yes quite a while ago now. Decent amount to still get though!

Wrapping? Some but not all- maybe 75% done so far.

Do you have the Christmas tree/decorations up yet? God no! Far too early. And the anticipation and build up is part of the fun.

Christmas Day plans sorted? a little bit outing if family are here, but I’m working most of Xmas week so am having a family do this month and giving people advent bundles to enjoy for Dec. On the day itself I will have a chill morning and breakfast rolls with the family before heading out to work. A beer at night and an early night watching Call the midwife Xmas special as working next day!!

Minniliscious · 12/11/2025 22:59

Not one bit! I love Christmas but never start doing anything remotely Christmassy until the end of November.

NearlyDec · 12/11/2025 23:32

narnia2025 · 12/11/2025 22:39

1st December is on monday!

Maybe I won’t then!

Rainallnight · 12/11/2025 23:35

I’m going to buck the trend and say I haven’t done a thing.
