Posting on behalf of the lovely @Reastie

This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

Great! These sound perfect as a stocking filler for our mid-20s Christmas guest (I’m 10 years older and can’t remember what I liked back then!).

We used to use Milk Thistle back in the day to ward off a hangover so I would definitely have been happy to receive this! I hope no one comes to tell me these don’t work as I’m quite excited about them and think they’re going to change my life….

SugarCookieMonster · 15/11/2025 22:16

Thank you @FurForksSake !! I got it for £43 as I had the 20% off plus I had credit on my PayPal account from the Xmas PJs I ordered from Asda in an earlier thread!

@JG24 @User202242 thank you those are good ideas. I am having a mind blank. The 1yo is a hard one as a lot of the little bits are for 3yo and over. She doesn’t love a fidget toy. I will put mini packs of snacks in too.

For the one year old, some new socks/tights/vests with nice/fun designs on, ditto toothbrushes, flannel, Galt pop-up people type toy. Bubble bath if you use it. One year I also did packs of novelty shaped pasta to take up space (Aldi often does it around this time of year) – the ten month old got teddy bears and the three year old got dinosaurs. Bubbles. Some new bits of duplo or plastic/wooden animals.

For the three year old, all the same practical bits, added bonus that they have at least some things that are 'the same'. Smallish add-ons for things they already own, like a new outfit, feeding set, etc. for a doll, new train for a wooden train track, etc. A5 size sticker book or colouring set, if it will fit. More bubbles! New bath toys, as they tend to go manky. Bath putty and a couple of moulds were a big hit last year – not particularly cheap, but it still gets used regularly almost a year later.

MamaClausToTheRescue · 15/11/2025 22:18

another random suggestion for a stocking filler - HiSmile toothpastes / pump foam mouthwashes are 50% off when you buy two in Boots at the moment, so work out around £4/4.50 each.

these come in all sorts of non minty random flavours and are good for kids who struggle with toothbrushing / have sensory issues around minty flavours etc.

my kids love pumping the foam mouthwash into their mouths and it’s definitely making toothbrushing more fun for them.

I have a 1yo and 5yo. Play dough, sticker book also great ideas thank you. I like the novelty pasta shapes idea too will have a look in Aldi. What’s bath putty? Google didn’t bring up baby relevant results. Just plumbing 😁

Hi all

Please can someone give me any kind of angle for my father in law he’s really difficult to buy for, we just know he likes Bob Mortimer but already bought his recent book for his birthday. Seems to like the fishing show he’s on?

Also my girls love KENJI and flying tiger, anyone know any other shops that are similar to these that sell online, just realised kenji don’t.

thanks!

It's a brilliant show, how about this @AhhhWoof (it's their catchphrase)

You could also fill it with these 😉

Sorry, not sure whose three year old I mixed in there!

This is the bath putty we got: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zimpli-Kids-Floating-Changing-Stretch/dp/B09WVW7P5S I actually gave one pot to my five year old and one pot to my (almost) three year old last year, so at least it's still a relevant suggestion!

Random craft supplies also featured, new felt tips, gel pens, pompoms, googly eyes, etc., if you have that sort of five of year old. We go through lots! And a couple of those little lego bags – I need to try to make it to Aldi for this years whilst they have them in stock!

I’d like to get a stocking filler sized item related to k pop demon hunters for the 5yo as well. I’ve seen the Zara sweatshirt and t shirt but that won’t fit in a stocking

FurForksSake · 15/11/2025 22:58

Someone linked to some Etsy stickers @CrimboPourLesKids that might work?

Unreal! Thank you! 2 ordered for teen nephews. That & a £10 fast food voucher will do nicely 👍

Between the Smiggle sale, Jaques of London and the Argos glitch I’ve finished all the littles. Now looking for something for Auntie, mid 90’s, at home with carers but bedbound. No use of arm and leg on one side. Last year I bought a throw. No food items as she has allergies. I was thinking perhaps a bed jacket but might be difficult to get on and off or Celtic & Co merino wool socks? Any ideas?

Fillybuster · 15/11/2025 23:14

MamaClausToTheRescue · 15/11/2025 22:02

I’ve just worked out that you can get £10 of vitamin wellbeing patches from The Patch Collective for free using a referral link, as it gives £10 off but there’s no minimum spend.

It’s not a typical gift but I’m making up some hampers for a weekend away with my friends, so I bought the “recovery” ones as they’re apparently amazing for avoiding a hangover.

They come in themes such as wellbeing, metabolism, women’s health, calm / sleep and lots of others. They seem to have very good reviews from what I’ve seen, (especially these recovery patches 🥂🍸🍷), so if they prevent a handover for me, I’ll definitely be stocking up for the festive season!

There are some nice themed bundles for £10-12 so for example you can buy a bundle for £10.99 and only pay 99p plus £1.99 postage.

I’ll stick my referral link on the other board in case anyone wants to follow suit.

Great suggestion - thank you!

Hi.
Does anyone know if the handmade Christmas co have done the 02 code for wooden decorations this year?
Thanks

https://www.jersey4fans.com/

was previously Soccer04

Has anyone actually ordered from this site? I've used Football4U in previous years after recommended on here- really good quality, cannot tell the difference, but they're £27 a top, whereas this site is £11 a top! It seems too good to be true. Don't want to order 3 & waste money!

Anyone?

Thank you. I think that could work really well @Arregaithel

TheGirlWhoLived · 16/11/2025 00:05

@Puffalicious ive not used the jersey one, but I did use soccer04 last year. It took AGES to come, maybe because I got personalised? I ordered about this time and it came about December 13th
it was perfect though, absolutely wouldn’t know the difference. Mine was £13 for the Barcelona kit, with number and name personalised. They kept in touch well and I could email them.

Amazon Haul has 10 pounds off with code LUCKY10 until midnight. Can be combined with the spin the wheel discount too :)

I was trying to do this tonight and realised it ended a few days ago

This seems pretty impressive. The Soccer4U would be £81 for 3 tops (they also take ages) this site £34!!!

I know I'd pay £81 for ONE adult top in the shops, but it's tempting to try this lot.

I've just spend £80 on a Scotland rugby top for DS2's birthday the other day 🙈. As much as he loves it, £80!

I'll have another look & decide. Thanks again million.
