Posting on behalf of the lovely @Reastie

This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

Mariah will be singing All I want for Christmas before we know it, and it's only 46 days until Christmas, so let's get those bargains, folks!

Any budget friendly ideas for an 8 year old boy? No idea what he likes either 😅

Noticed some dollhouse kits on Amazon haul today, so might be worth checking for them on the next big price drop

The little ones with the dust cover look cute , but they are tiny compared to book nooks , has anyone made this type before ?

VeruccaSalty · 15/11/2025 14:22

Has anyone picked up their Argos glitch remote control cars?

LoopyGremlin · 15/11/2025 14:24

Thanks @Thegoldgrind have you noticed any results with the Stylopro one?

Mumto3thatsme · 15/11/2025 15:41

There was a few people buying pillows a while back, where were they from and what were the thoughts of those that brought them?
thanks!

I'm not going to lie, I only managed using it for about 3 weeks 😂 need to get it back out! Hopefully there will be a time when it's not difficult to find ten minutes before bed to lie down and do nothing! 🤞🏻

Looking to buy some American sweets and drinks and can recall some people had problems but can’t remember the company. Any recommendations or who I should avoid. Thanks

ChristmasJumperz · 15/11/2025 16:17

Smyth's have Black Friday offers on their home page, including half price book sets like this Worst Week Ever one £8.49 and 5 book Percy Jackson set £9.99

Friedbanana · 15/11/2025 16:19

Instead of having to check which Lego sets my nephews don’t already have (they have lottttts 😅) I’ve decided to buy them some Lego shop gift cards! Does anyone know if there’s a good way to do this to get some money off?

Also, incredibly niche but has anyone seen any golden retriever Christmas wrapping paper?? Doesn’t have to be a bargain I just would love to buy it in a real life shop (Etsy have some lovely ones but they all seem to be £14 postage!)

ChristmasJumperz · 15/11/2025 16:41

I picked up these colouring pencils for 69p in Home Bargains, I don't suppose anyone has used them before and confirm they're ok? I know sometimes you get pencils that barely colour and are rubbish, I'd hate that to happen as they're for the local kids gift collection and at that price I picked up a few packs. I will try them if no-one knows but thought it was worth asking, TIA

Not sure the pic is going to attach it's giving me a scrolling wheel of doom...

ChristmasJumperz · 15/11/2025 16:46

It won't add the pic. They're in an orange box, 12 scented pencils named Scribble Pop Shop

FurForksSake · 15/11/2025 16:47

No picture @ChristmasJumperz but I wouldn’t worry too much, kids don’t tend to be too fussy with pencils until they are much older or are big art fans.

ChristmasJumperz · 15/11/2025 17:13

@FurForksSake Thanks for that, yes just like your link but orange box. Appreciate your reassurance at my time of self-doubt!!

Yoto currently have 10% off the mini as a black Friday deal.. do we think that's as good a discount as we're likely to see from them?

They have definitely had 20% off in the past

Re: kpop merch I splashed out on the Netflix store for DD's birthday but also got these stickers from Etsy. They're pricey but really lovely and she's older so appreciates them. I highly recommend for the quality www.etsy.com/uk/listing/4361521640/holographic-k-pop-demon-hunters-sticker
