Posting on behalf of the lovely @Reastie

This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

Mariah will be singing All I want for Christmas before we know it, and it's only 46 days until Christmas, so let's get those bargains, folks!

Armani Beauty Fragrance section... theres a banner for 15% off for new customers (not sure if you can stack codes) and there are the other discounts I mentioned in my last post. Then when you get to checkout there's a section at the top where you can click the arrow and pick 3 free samples! See image below as it is easy to miss this at checkout.

A few threads back someone mentioned an alternative to a gro clock that was better, something to do with different colours? Does anyone recall what the recommendation was?

Real life shopping today Matalan have 20% off their Christmas shop in store (not sure if also online)

Also Asda George have up to 50% off some stock online, I was mainly looking at babies/young kids stuff but the same stuff was full price in store so worth checking!

Was it the Purflo Snoozee Sleep Trainer Clock? We have (and love) their original one and their new one has updated colours to blue for daytime and red for night-time.

Hello all :)

A few bargains today

Firstly, I've accidentally stumbled across a glitch whilst shopping. Click toys, then offers and if you go through the '2 for £xx' offers you will see some have 50% off at checkout too! When going to checkout and entering the code, it's giving double discount!!

Secondly, Pepsi Max is currently 2 x 24 packs of cans for £15 on Amazon, even less if you subscribe!! Stocked up for Christmas 🎄

Fancyateapottea · 13/11/2025 23:07

Thank you so much @Carrie76!!

I really appreciate it, my little boy will be very happy 😊

We got these for our caravan but in white. They are awful. They currently reside in the loft as I am not sure how best to get rid of them

Edited

If you want to get rid of your knives check if your local police force are doing a knife amnesty. If they are the local stations will have a knife bin you can put then in. Our local tip also take them if you wrap and package them well so worth checking your local tip website too.

lovely Christmas threaders! Could I ask you all kindly for any (hopefully bargainous) ideas you may have seen on your travels for gifts for a primary age girl who is really into K Pop Demon hunters?

Not sure what sort of thing you're looking for but I got this Kpop cup, sock and keyring set on Etsy for just £7. It came nicely presented. You do have to pay postage unfortunately. I've also ordered some Kpop demon hunter stickers and dolls on aliexpress but can't recommend, as they're yet to be delivered.

What code should we add?

hugsandpugs · 13/11/2025 23:19

@Pinkladymel can you link please x

Chocolateteabag · 13/11/2025 23:33

@Carrie76- if you open a new credit account with Very, you can get 20% off - was the best deal I could find on an Xbox a couple of years ago as it stacked with their Black Friday offer
Not sure if you get the same offer in Ireland but worth a look
(obviously only a bargain if you then pay it off straight away and don’t get stung with the crazy interest rates)

Puffalicious · 13/11/2025 23:33

RainbowZebraWarrior · 13/11/2025 20:47

IME Onbuy is a bit dodgy. I'd avoid, personally.

I'd concur.

Hunted for a specific Xbox controller for DS3's birthday in February. Hard to find & On buy reviews were decent. It was clearly a fake when it arrived- a good fake, but a fake.

We complained & they refunded & told us to keep it. Glad about that at least. This thread has just reminded me we still have it & i should donate it somewhere- perhaps a youth group.

That price for Owala bottles is too good to be true. If you don't mind a copy, fair enough, but be aware that that's what you're getting.

PS They are $20 in the states. After spending £45 on a present in July (this colour had to come from the US) my friend in work- who's American- told me this! I'm waiting on her mum visiting to bring me a few! So if anyone knows anyone going soon...get your orders in!

Doesn’t seem to be working when I try not sure if the glitch has been fixed?

FurForksSake · 13/11/2025 23:37

On the north face website they have 20% off if you sign up to their newsletter type thing. This can be used with reduced items. I just bought two teen hoodies and two teen T-shirt for £82 delivered. £100 minimum spend to use the 20% off.

Carrie76 · 13/11/2025 20:59

Anyone know anything about Play Stations please? DS is looking for a PS5 for Christmas. I’ve no idea what i’m looking at when i see all the various ones. Whats the best to get, one that takes discs or not? He currently has a PS4. Thanks for any advice

Up to you. The new digital one is cheaper & seems to be popular, but we've decided discs are for us.

Also looking for a PS5 this year, so bargains much appreciated if anyone sees any.

Thanks to the poster who suggested signing up to Anthropologie - got marshmallow jellycat delivered for £8.95

I thought I had written this post and then forgotten I had done so! I made the exact same purchase a few days ago, and it arrived today. It will make a perfect gift, and such a bargain!

I just ordered these 2 items that were in the 2 for £20, then added the code TOYS50 and got both for £10 total.

Thread 9 - The one where it's almost Black Friday
Pinkladymel · 14/11/2025 00:04

So glad you managed to get it to work XmasShoppingSister

It's a case of going to Argos

selecting department>toys>offers

and then going through each '2 for £xx' offer and looking for items that also have the 50% off toys banner on. At checkout, in the stage that says 'payment' scroll to the 'Add promo code' bit and add 'TOYS50' to see the discount come off.

Sorry for the vague post earlier - was trying to be quick in my excitement to share!

hugsandpugs · 14/11/2025 00:05

@Pinkladymel

thank you SO much for posting about the Argos glitch. Just managed to order these four things for Xmas gifts for £20!! Used £2.50 I had on my nectar card too so had them for £17.50 in the end! 👏❤️

XmasShoppingsister · 14/11/2025 00:07

Thankyou so much for the Argos toy glitch @Pinkladymel that's another couple of presents sorted.

For those that are struggling, go to either the 2 for £20 or 2 for £30 toy section, when you look through the list, you want to find 2 items with the below banner. Then when you get to checkout add the code TOYS50. The 2 for £20 then come up as £10 and the 2 for £30 come up as £15
