If you have a hot tub in your garden…

If you have a hot tub in your garden, what else would you like? I’m trying to think of something for dsis and dbil and it could be a joint gift from some others so budget can be quite high. Any ideas?

I hate sitting in water and sudden changes in temperature so I can’t even imagine wanting one, but they love theirs.

Weekend away, restaurant vouchers, flower delivery subscription, theatre vouchers, membership to arts club/national trust, gardening equipment.

It’s hard to say really as you haven’t given any indications of their interests. What do they like to do?

I'm not sure how knowing somebody has a hot tub will help with knowing what else they would like.

My neighbours have a hot tub and "restaurant vouchers, flower delivery subscription, theatre vouchers, membership to arts club/national trust, gardening equipment" would be a complete waste of money on them.

You probably need to tell us more about their likes and interests.

Sorry, if I wasn’t clear, I was trying to think along the lines of accessories, garden things… hot tub adjacent type gifts.

Maybe a nice drinks trolly?

Leeds2 · 08/11/2025 13:56

One, or two, of those swinging chairs. Sorry, don't know what they are called!

A huge parasol, to go over the hot tub.

A garden table to go next to it, at a suitable height to put drinks/books on.

Luxurious bath robes.

Waterproof headphone screen and projector for cinema night in the hot tub

WonderingWanda · 08/11/2025 16:09

A fire pit or a Wild Table to keep warm around after the hot tub.

Dry robes for the winter transit from house to tub.

JudgeBread · 08/11/2025 16:11

Some nice robes and slippers for the chilly rush from hot tub to house.

Sauna & shower combo!

We do sauna, cold shower then straight into hot tub! Heavenly!

You can also get smaller sized ones like this minus the shower!

What about a plunge pool?

londongirl12 · 08/11/2025 17:07

Someone mentioned a projector. I think that’s a great idea! Although you’d need some speakers near the hot tub to be able to hear the film 😂

Slipperati · 08/11/2025 17:13

We have one and I would hate to have “accessories” for it. Its beauty is its simplicity, anything else can make it look tacky. Definitely don’t buy a parasol if they don’t already have one, it’s a very personal choice and some are quite ugly. If they want one they’ll have one.

if they don’t already have, then perhaps a really nice set of (is there such a thing…) non breakable drinks glasses. The other thing might be a tall ice bucket to go next to it - but you’d need to know how tall their hot tub was to make sure you get the right height (ie is it on a raised base)?

Troubler · 08/11/2025 17:18

Crocs from hot tub to house - your feet are wet so you can’t put slippers on but need something to transition from in to out!

Sprig1 · 08/11/2025 17:18

An egg chair for the garden.

Abracadabrador · 08/11/2025 17:19

I used to have a hot tub and the only garden thing I want/ed was a chair, like a zero gravity reclining seat, or a big beanbag.

Other people who have a hot tub would be the types to have an outdoor bar, loud speakers, lights, etc.
They'll already have all they want for the hot tub, for how they want to use it, so don't waste money on dressing gowns or gazebos etc.

Antibiotics/antifungals. Mood lighting. Privacy screen.

Parsleyforme · 08/11/2025 17:35

Depends on what they already have but when I had one I would’ve wanted good quality solar lights, a side table or a surround (can’t remember what they’re called but it’s like a big wooden side table with steps to get in the tub), or more chemicals and filters because consumables get used up and I found sorting out the water really annoying

PInkyStarfish · 08/11/2025 17:49

Antibiotics.

Pollqueen · 08/11/2025 18:08

A floating drinks tray 😊

Is that a joke? It's £27,000.
