If you have a hot tub in your garden, what else would you like? I’m trying to think of something for dsis and dbil and it could be a joint gift from some others so budget can be quite high. Any ideas?

I hate sitting in water and sudden changes in temperature so I can’t even imagine wanting one, but they love theirs.

Not sure neighbours would appreciate screens for movie night etc.

afaloren · 08/11/2025 18:31

Drinks holders that slot over the side of the hot tub.

IKnowAristotle · 08/11/2025 18:34

Pampas grass.

But seriously...

Dry robes
Fire pit
Outdoor kitchen set up

Someone mentioned a projector. I think that’s a great idea! Although you’d need some speakers near the hot tub to be able to hear the film 😂

Terrible idea if they have close neighbours. Great idea of they don’t have any nearby

Is that a joke? It's £27,000.

Lol they said several ppl might club together and I thought they wanted suggestions on the same level as a hot tub? Maybe I got the wrong idea 🤷‍♀️ I assumed they were just affluent gifting!

Drinks cooler or trolley, hot tub pillows, drink and snack holders that clip on the side, some nice garden lights to go around the hot tub, hot tub Bluetooth speaker, floating coloured lights.

Depends what accessories they already have.

I second Dry Robes or some fancy robes

Becs51 · 08/11/2025 19:58

I definitely wouldn’t bother with dry robes or robes if the hot tub is close to the house. We have a swimspa and bought dry robes in preparation for getting out in the middle of winter but I’ve used it once! It was such a faff to find somewhere to put it and then trying to put it on when you’re soaking wet, honestly I was inside and in the shower quicker and Jan could put it on.

If this is a serious question, I have a serious answer! I have a hot tub and would love an egg chair or two. Not everyone wants to go in the hot tub (like you - not everyone’s dream evening!) and a comfy but unique outdoor chair means they can join in.

A big garden lantern?

StrongLikeMamma · 08/11/2025 21:22

A firepit

Good quality plastic glasses that don’t taste of plastic?
A wall clock?
nice dressing gowns. - towel ones are surprisingly pricey, fleece ones are useless!

Doone22 · 09/11/2025 15:23

Speaking from experience, unbreakable champagne glasses or a box of plasters

Sherlockgirl · 09/11/2025 18:22

We have one - some ideas - how about personalised towelling robes/towels including for guests, fancy small bowls for snacks, nice champagne/prosecco, selections of fancy nougat to have with the fizz ( awesome on a cold clear night watching stars and having fizz with nougat) silly floating duck, nice outdoor mat, outdoor clock……

LocalHobo · 09/11/2025 18:26

One, or two, of those swinging chairs.
Having a hot tub doesn't automatically mean they are swingers 😉

MaterMetella · 09/11/2025 18:26

Hammock stand (with beautiful hammock). Egg chairs (with solar twinkly lighting around them),
gas fire pit/table with central gas fire pit, pizza oven (gozney = very funky). Projectors (don’t have to be noisy ! There are three hour YouTube videos of beach scenes which is a really nice summer vibe.)
Big outdoor clock.

Kamado bbq?

Sparkletastic · 09/11/2025 18:31

Soho House towels

Where would you put the bowls? Do you eat in the hot tub??

wellingtonsandwaffles · 09/11/2025 22:32

Lovely robes, sliders/crocs, fully waterproof Bluetooth speakers

I mean, 'budget can be quite high' I would interpret as maybe £100-150. £27k has really cracked me up. I don't love any of my sisters that much.

Lmao you’re so right! I’ve really lost the plot 😂

Thanks for the suggestions

I don't have a hot tub but if they don't already have somewhere to put towels etc maybe an outdoor coat stand might be useful?
