Teen boys trending and avoiding

Similar to the teen girl thread really. What’s trending, what’s on it’s way out.
Individual stuff expensive stuff tends to be quite personal at this age, I’m thinking more about the small, but above stocking filler, gifts. Something around £10 - £30 range. Smellies seem safe but Is Lynx still trending? If so which one is OKl? Ted Baker- was loved last year but now? Anything non smelly? I’m so out of touch, and realise I have paid for more attention to the girls who are really specific about what is definitely not acceptable 🙄

Great question and I'm following to hear the answers.

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 23/10/2025 10:21

Ooh I’m interested in this as well as I’ve got loads stashed away for DD but not DS!

Riv · 23/10/2025 11:50

Glad it’s not just me 😁

Almost 17yo DS here. He’s sporty and quite into personal grooming.
Nike is still his brand of choice for sportswear/trainers
Nike Miler tops
Nike joggers
Nike white socks
Nike football/sports bags

Bath/shower products - Rituals

Skincare - he seems to like Bulldog

Aftershave - there’s a YSL and JPG fragrance he’s after this year. He also like Stronger with You which I LOVE on him!

Definitely no Lynx! There are are few Zara fragrances he likes and also Afnan 9pm which is nice and really affordable for every day.

WonderingWanda · 23/10/2025 16:48

Depending on age maybe weights. Lighting and Bluetooth speakers. Ds likes his lava lamp from last year.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 23/10/2025 16:49

Oh and he was asking for Calvin Klein boxers a while back which was a big NO at the time, but I’ve bought him some for Christmas!

PeachyKoala · 23/10/2025 17:05

Nicer shower products than normal (he likes a lush shower jelly)
Nike socks
CK boxers
Wireless earphones
Greggs/subway/Costa giftcards
Japanese sweets/packs of ramen
Boba tea kit
Mini lego sets

AI slop 🙄

Florin · 23/10/2025 17:21

Def not lynx, Calvin Klein boxers and Nike socks are always a winner. Fragrances are popular but had to be the right ones and all expensive.

Anotherdayanotherpound · 23/10/2025 17:26

Gosh, 3 mentions for Calvin klein boxers. Why so popular? Apart from good branding obviously, are they actually better as pants??

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/10/2025 17:27

For £40 you can create a Funko Pop of your own design. Over budget but might hit the spot.

Riv · 23/10/2025 17:34

Thank you all. Some great ideas. Not sure if I can get the CK boxers for friends teens or rarely seen nephews though 🤣
Im glad to see some non smelly and non underwear ideas @Vikolb @WonderingWanda @PeachyKoala and others it’s enabled me to think more widely.
It’s a minefield isn’t it!

Re the boxers DS older brother told him they were fab but to be fair they were both used to Tesco pants so I suspect anything felt better than those!!!!

Mistysmom · 23/10/2025 17:37

following with interest, teenage boys are hard to buy for 😂

TartanMammy · 23/10/2025 18:05

Lynx is out here, my ds hates it. He likes the L'Oréal ones, orange and black packaging.

Clothes, Nike socks, CK boxers, Nike Miler t-shirt still popular here. Also Represent and Essentials.

And of course all of the sweets and snacks!

Other bits are hobby related - golf here!

Charging cables always go down well here, don't know what ds does to them but they're always breaking! A power bank if he doesn't have one already.

Runningincircles · 23/10/2025 18:18

A giant bag of random snacks and drinks always goes down well with my boys. DS15 asks for it every birthday and Christmas.

Broomcupboards · 23/10/2025 19:00

step one and oddballs boxers go down well here.
metal fidget toys
balls for whatever sport they are into
hair products-salt spray, texture powder etc
mine still wears an oodie or onesie daily and likes fluffy socks for bed 😂
fine liners

See this is where teens are so different and particular, what one loves another would recoil at. My ds wouldn't touch step one or oddballs, they're dad pants apparently 🤣. Or as the saying is here 'yer Da buys his clothes on tiktok shop' which is apparently the highest insult.

Iloveagoodnap · 23/10/2025 20:41

Last year I added a £30 Greggs gift card to my sons’ stockings. They were pleased with them.

Where from? DS would like this, do you have a link please? The ones I can see are closer to £100!
