What are you all getting DS 7-8yo

Hello,

Just hoping for some ideas please, DS hasn’t hinted anything this year for Christmas and says he doesn’t know what he wants. We’re already getting him a Nintendo Switch 2 but that’s not much😅

Hoping for some ideas from all you lovely lot for what you’ll be getting your 7 year old DS or relatives please?

I’ve preordered DS8 an automatic football launcher.

Will add any more ideas but that's my present list.

For stocking fillers, will do a slime kit, a yo yo and a box of American cereal, amongst other things. Probably also a giant gummy bear and a chocolate game console.

That’s not much? They are over £400 and by the time you’ve bought a few games….

DS is 7 and will mostly be getting Lego, that's his thing. He wants basically every set in existence, but what he really wants is some sort of bank robbery set to go with his police station. They used to do one but it's retired now, so that might be an eBay job.

He's OBSESSED with robots and has asked for some sort of kit to build one. I'm leaving that with DH - mainly because he's the one who'll be doing it with him!

Also Hot Wheels, he collects those.

He’s recently got a new bed/wardrobe so he’s asked for football bedding. There are also things my mum, dad, brothers, and best friend have bought, not just all from us.

He is currently very football driven, so lots of football items here!

@CoodleMoodle Have you seen the Lego robotics sets? That sounds like a double win for your son!

@IAmLadyWhistledown extras for the switch, like a steering wheel, extra Joy Cons, headphones, Rocker chair?
Books or a magazine subscription? Some of mine liked the Beano and Phoenix and my 9yr old still enjoys the Dogman books.
Board games, magnatiles, Playmobil, Lego, tickets to an event, arts resources, science kits.

New bike, lego (he's changing what type of set he wants every time I ask - I should stop asking!), books.

Stocking fillers I struggle with - maybe a new Top Trumps set.
Flying Tiger had some good little fun things last year so I'll check what they bring out.

Mine has asked for a switch but no chance as too expensive. He also wants some kind of health watch like Fitbit so he can count his steps. For the Switch, would your DS be interested in the handheld ones? Amazon do the renewed ones for around £139, but I suspect they’d drop further during Black Friday sales. I appreciate that is still a very expensive gift though!

I'm afraid I ordered them on temu. They haven't arrived yet so can't comment on the quality, but I'm sure DS won't care and will use it all as he is also obsessed 😂

I bought some Italian brainrot bits from temu - they were tiny though!
My 8 year old is getting bop it, a football kit, he LOVES lego and I have had great success buying sets on ebay. If you are looking for a robot set - MIO is good you can buy that from the Science museum online shop (I have an older son so have done this all once before).
He recently had a birthday and a remote control car went down very well also.
