Beauty advent calendars for a teenage girl

38 replies

Looking for a beauty advent calendar for my nearly 16-year-old. She loves all the usual popular brands (Charlotte Tilbury, Glow Recipe, Drunk Elephant, Laneige, Summer Fridays, Sol de Janeiro etc.) and loves cute mini-sized samples rather than full-sized products (because of course the cute packaging is very important 🤷‍♀️). Sephora is looking like it contains the most of her favourite brands, but are there any good (and preferably cheaper) calendars or just mini-sets I am missing?

I am half-tempted to get her the Charlotte Tilbury calendar, but it's only a 12-day calendar, which I don't like.

Any suggestions?

Sephora one looks good, know a few 15/16 year old girls who have asked for it.

Ditto Sephora, I got one for dd last year and it’s great and really well priced and packaged.

XelaM · 11/10/2025 08:38

Thank you! The other calendars I was considering were Boots and ASOS which also seem to be quite good.

The sephora one is great.

Becky3825 · 11/10/2025 09:03

The Look fantastic one! I will try and link

Becky3825 · 11/10/2025 09:04

It's the one my nearly 16 year old and all her friends want!

I’ve bought my daughter the Latest in Beauty one. It arrived the other day and is absolutely enormous and weighs a tonne!! They sent me a discount voucher . So if you fancy it let me know and I’ll send you the code x

YepIChangedMyNameForThis · 11/10/2025 10:13

@Marinacat How much was it?
I have two teenage daughters, the advent calendar thing started as a chocolate thing and now look at us 😂

Marinacat · 11/10/2025 10:43

@YepIChangedMyNameForThis

With the discount it was £120 😳

I’m toying with doing a chocolate advent calendar and just keeping it as a Xmas present for her.

Have you see the beauty advent calendar thread on here? It’s a got loads of chat about which ones are good for teenagers . X

Glossy box is good this year and around £80 if you look for discount code

Holdonforsummer · 11/10/2025 13:29

I got my daughter the Revolution one as slightly cheaper, £50 I think. Looks nice. It’s her birthday in late Oct so it’s a birthday present that keeps on giving!

MoominMai · 11/10/2025 18:33

The only thing I’d say is given young teenage skin is only meant to comprise gentle cleansers and moisturisers (and of course sunscreen), a lot of these beauty calendars are aimed at adults hence they can contain a lot of actives which aren’t necessarily the best for young skin.

Just a heads up as I know how expensive they are and would be a shame if there’s not many compatible products contained within ✨

ThatMiddleClassFood · 11/10/2025 18:45

I really like the m&s one or the you beauty calender reasonably priced and some really good bits. No way would I spend £200+ that would be one of their main Xmas presents, but if they're happy with that then I'd consider it.

PLouise

goodtoesnaughtytoes · 12/10/2025 06:21

I’ve got both my girls (17 & 13) the LookFantastic one

Becky3825 · 12/10/2025 07:53

@MoominMai

Totally agree. Anything with 'active' ingredients that are not suitable I always use instead so bit of a win-win situation. I've made sure my teen knows not to use such things, i.e retinol, on her skin so she passes them on when we get beauty boxes or the like. Probably why I like the look fantastic one as I will probably end up with a third of it!

BellissimoGecko · 12/10/2025 09:21

Look Fantastic might be a good shout.

Pinkballoon5 · 12/10/2025 09:25

I got my 17 yo the Benefits one from Sephora, it's a giant rubix cube this year. There's a discount code currently (or was a couple of weeks ago). Google tells me it was SURPRISE. I got it on the main advent calendar thread

I get the look fantastic one I do syphon off some of the more grown up bits and replace with lip balms, Lindt chocolate balls, hair stuff, nail varnish. That way it’s a gift for both of us!

XelaM · 13/10/2025 10:56

Thank you all for the amazing suggestions! They were all extremely tempting for various product combinations and I think they are all fab. In the end, I was tempted by the 25% off discount for the ASOS calendar. I think for £76 it's probably the cheapest I will get with a mix of some of the brands my daughter likes.

I might consider getting one of the more expensive ones as a Christmas gift 💝

Tropic. 12 days of advent. It’s £149 but no nasties. I don’t use anything else these days
