Beauty advent calendars for a teenage girl

Looking for a beauty advent calendar for my nearly 16-year-old. She loves all the usual popular brands (Charlotte Tilbury, Glow Recipe, Drunk Elephant, Laneige, Summer Fridays, Sol de Janeiro etc.) and loves cute mini-sized samples rather than full-sized products (because of course the cute packaging is very important 🤷‍♀️). Sephora is looking like it contains the most of her favourite brands, but are there any good (and preferably cheaper) calendars or just mini-sets I am missing?

I am half-tempted to get her the Charlotte Tilbury calendar, but it's only a 12-day calendar, which I don't like.

Any suggestions?

I'd recommend either Look Fantastic or Glossybox - both under or around £100 and fabulous value for money. I've had both several times, and will definitely buy again.

Is your teenager concerned about animal testing/cruelty free cosmetics? If so it' worth checking as loads of brands are not . And being Vegan isn't the same as being Cruelty Free ,

It never crossed my awareness but my dd is really into makeup at the moment and she’d LOVE one of these. I don’t know what to avoid, though- are there any which don’t have the stuff she shouldn’t use, or a website I could get a list of no-nos?

Sephora are doing a cheaper calendar this year without door numbers (which is a good idea if you are using as a Christmas’s gift) it’s £54 and looks like it’s aimed at teens.
Ill try and link it https://www.sephora.co.uk/p/sephora-collection-advent?curr=GBP&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=6452065375&gbraid=0AAAAADm1HxEeaYl4H_QEcrLa0yyHfQ480&gclid=CjwKCAjwxrLHBhA2EiwAu9EdM9W5hAW6Z7m84Y8JLax5RSCwrVbp0OviBO65pSrRvk5KjW8ssyw76BoCLQgQAvD_BwE

Pretty Little Thing have hit the mark for teens in our family in the past. Great value too.

I ordered the Glossybox AC for my daughter, which you can get for £75 with codes and go via sites like Topcashback for a bit more off.

Memeyoulater · 14/10/2025 16:31

I got my 25% ASOS discount code from the beauty advent calendar thread on linked earlier, but it no longer works for me today (it was the word RANDOM) but ASOS give you a 20% if you register with them and share their website with 1 friend or family (I just used another email address for myself to "share" with 😂).

They also have the Charlotte Tilbury advent calendar and pillow talk boxes that you can use the discount on.

The Elf advent calendar is out this evening. £92. Looks perfect for my teen!

My daughter has the ASOS calendar. She’s had it before and with a discount code, I think it’s really good value as contains most of the brands you mentioned.

That's the one I got this year 😃 I thought for £76 (with the discount) it was really good value given the brand selection
