This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Hope you're all well. I've just put in a big Temu order for stocking bits and bits for work. They gave me £8 off my next order yesterday as two orders I had are arriving late and, when I contacted customer services about something, they also gave me a 20% off voucher, so I saved £20 on my order!

If anyone has relatives who like Scotland, this company are closing and she's put heaps of mystery boxes together. I got 6 coasters, cups, placemats, some tea towels and more, so am splitting into gift sets.

I saved about £180!!!
https://blockart.sumupstore.com

I bought several mystery boxes from there about 18 months ago. Everything was fine.

Did someone have a discount code for whistlefish? I am a bit disappointed with my gift wrap from sunshine bindery (all the ones I wanted were out of stock and I was only told a few days after placing the order) and some of the whistlefish ones look beautiful

If you sign up to their mailing list you get 20% off your first order. I've bought all my Christmas cards and wrap from there and its gorgeous. There are also still a few nice bits and bobs left in the sale.

I'll also put my referral code on the referrals thread for £5 off if you'd prefer to use that. (I don't think both offers stack)

Ilovebabykangaroo · 17/10/2025 06:49

Does anyone have a discount code for Pavers footwear?

MerylSqueak · 17/10/2025 06:54

I've just seen this skincare gift at Marks and Spencer. Looks good to me and packaged as a gift. There's a haircare set too.

MerylSqueak · 17/10/2025 06:56

Sorry!

I also saw these ice-cream sandwich sets in Home Bargains for 99p. Decent brand.Similar is selling for £3 in Marks. Nice stocking filler.

Do you have the link?

Superdrug have some more perfumes at very cheap "members prices", if you're lucky enough to have a local store with stock that won't cancel your order!

Thank you

The most important thing is that it fits well, snug but comfortable, low enough on his forehead, etc. and that he wears it (and that it meets the legal requirements, but I'd expect Lidl's to do that!). That said, slightly higher spec helmets can have advantages like lighter weight, better ventilation, more adjustable fit. If he's a very adventurous rider, you might want to go a step higher still and look at helmets with a MIPS system.

Thanks! Would you recommend anywhere to try them on for size?

Arthien · 17/10/2025 07:52

NotMeekNotObedient · 16/10/2025 15:44

@Arthien

A MIPS one would be my suggestion. We have the Specilized Mio Mips one for my DD4. Helmet

This looks good - it says 1.5 to 4 years though and he'll be 4 next month. Is it easy to find somewhere in store to try on?

I’m looking to buy a ‘dupe’ for the Velvetiser (can’t justify the £150 price tag!). A couple of people posted on here about similar frothers, I think one was a Lavazza? Must do hot and cold drinks, can anyone help please?

@ChristmasMad1

Would you consider Shein?

Yes I would, but I thought there's no regulation in there toys?

Thanks, someone else sent me the £5 off code and I used that as the codes didn't stack and it saved me more than the 20% welcome offer

Crep sneaker cleaning and protect have a good starter kit on offer. It’s in collaboration with a DJ but the set is a good deal Crepp

Thanks for this, however I just looked this up as DC 1 would like it but you can get it on Amazon for £19.99 with free shipping if you have Prime.

MaudlinGazebo · 17/10/2025 08:30

Has anyone any advice for me please about buying a PS5? Anywhere to look specifically? Is it worth waiting for Black Friday? Thanks

IlovePond · 17/10/2025 08:40

@ChristmasMad1 Shein have - allegedly - made some improvements in safety standards recently, but their toys do not, as a rule, meet UK safety standards.

Ditto TEMU and AliExpress.

Does anyone know where I can get some cheap SpongeBob toys? My son has become obsessed with SpongeBob and wants them for Christmas, but a lot is either sold out or expensive!!!!! Looking for cheaper as he doesn't take care of his toys, would prefer to be new in box

My son got a little SpongeBob vending machine toy from B&M at the weekend and he loves it! We also bought one as a party present. It was £3 and has little surprise balls in it. You can also open the top of the vending machine to refill the balls with random sweets or toys to play with it again and again.

I was a bit dubious but both kids have loved it.

They also had plushies and figures in there so definitely have a peruse in B&M!

I love a map! I've got no ties to Scotland though, and not particularly interested unless visiting. Shame they dont do other/various locations.

I know we often get Benefit offers or glitches, anyone seen anything?
