This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

@Pogpog21 is this one totally out of the question?

Sorry if this is obvious but how does it only cost you £10?

So you do the initial £180 but because they give you £170 credits in return you then use that £170credit to get the next £170 credit, so your next £170 credit offer where you have to spend £180 to get the credit you already have the £170 in credit so it only cost you £10 for your next lot of credits, it really hard to explain in text lol xx

Thank you to @AnotherBreakfast for recommending MakeDo. Didn't know such a thing existed and will be perfect for DS who's now into cardboard craft !

Do you / anyone else know if they have a sale ? I've done a quick Google search and didn't show any results. Debating whether to settle for 10% discount for subscribing or wait for a better discount. Thanks 🙏

I don’t think they do typically do sales as such… think we paid full price for ours

Ahhh got it, I totally didnt think about getting the £170 back with the first order. Thanks so much

They do a lot of offers. I had an offer where I spent £10 and got 8 free gifts, they were worth while items as well, you could choose from a lot. All I had to then do was go on each day to tick the item to be shipped

@Yalz
thanks for the heads up on the other thread that Super seconds
has started for some. I’ve got to D so far and decided I need some dinner!! There’s some great stuff on there so far. My poor phone has about 70 tabs open

I still don’t understand the first bit “Temu do a £170 credit when you spend £180 (get 1.8 coins)”

So you have to spend £180 first? But then you get some kind of account credit?

woodwaj · 03/10/2025 19:25

Does anyone work at boots? I have a staff question if you could pm me! 🤔

These offers don't show all the time and certainly shouldn't be relied on either (please don't make a £180 order expecting to get £170 back) different offers show up on the app daily. They are designed to draw you in to keep ordering

Not sure how anyone can spend that much on there anyway but that's beside the point

No, don’t worry I wasn’t going to 😅

Onemoret1me · 03/10/2025 19:33

Can anyone recommend a perfume for a 15 year old? Feel like I need to cash in on the Superdrug offer so don’t have time to go and sample them in store

IlovePond · 03/10/2025 19:43

@Ilovechristmasfalalalalalala

I found it at LF for £27.30 with code: 40PLUS

Or at Boots with SAVE20 makes it £28 exactly.

Or JL have the 50ml for £45 but that includes a free gift.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 02/10/2025 21:35

I grabbed a second one last week at this price. Worth every penny!

I also got one of these last time it was posted… my 4yo thinks it’s the best possible thing in the world… I’m not sure why I bother with all these fancy presents

It's like kids / cats and boxes. <ponders wrapping up empty cardboard boxes next Christmas>

Ewock · 03/10/2025 20:13

Sorry I should have said that the offer has to come up on your page for it to be valid. I've never had one like the pp said about, but lots of different offers come up

Famousthehero · 03/10/2025 20:55

@Niye re: Makedo - there are a couple reduced at Bigjigs due to damaged boxes

haven’t checked but the bigjigs sale is usually worth a look too if there’s one on

It really dose depend on what they like. I’ve bought my 13yo Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture. Other popular ones Carolina Herrera, Daisy by Marc Jacobs, Ariana Grande perfumes, Victoria Secrets are also popular.

Serenitesanta · 03/10/2025 21:19

I’m buying from Etsy - is there anywhere that I could get a discount code?
Thanks so much

My 15 year old has Miss Dior, Marc Jacobs Perfect, Ariana Grande Cloud and also has a couple of the Britney ones for everyday use. She also likes body mists - Victoria Secret and SDJ

Arthien · 03/10/2025 22:03

On a similar scented note - any recommendations for a man spray aftershave type thing for a 13 year old boy? He's had cheap and cheerful ones before so I'm just aiming for a slight step up - max budget about £25-30.

Sasha07 · 03/10/2025 22:09

@Arthien maybe Argos Diesel Aftershave ? This is £30 down to £20. I've bought it for both my son's and nephews in the past and we all like it.
ETA: these sprays are handy for taking to school for PE days. We've had the blue, green and orange one and all three were nice. Ahh, I can't add a pic but on Amazon, look up Perfumers Choice Mens Fragrance, price is down to £7.50 for the green one.

hugsandpugs · 03/10/2025 22:28

How does the super seconds work please? 😊 looks like some cool things on there!
