This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

I don’t know… a PP noted it changed whether they were logged into their account or not and I’ve noticed the same when I have followed links from here.

I can’t be arsed with Amazon if they are playing stupid games with pricing!

I just purchased it for £10-odd, discount was applied at the checkout stage.

That’s weird I tried again, when I add to basket and go to checkout it comes up at £16.99, but I tried pressing buy now on the page and it then came up at the £10. Happy anyway, have ordered two for Christmas gifts

Thanks for all the advice on here.

Another Q from me, my daughter just turned 3. She loves playing babies with her dolls, and changing their nappies, but she always wants baby wipes. Is there such thing as toy baby wipes? Or a workaround? She would go through a pack otherwise, and of course...they're wet so everything gets damp! Am I missing something? Thanks!

A couple of years ago I got a dolls changing bag from aldi which had fabric doll nappies and wipes, might be worth having a look in their toy sale next week.

Edit: found a similar one on their website Here

I’ve been trying to get the lamp for less since first posted without success and is still showing as £16.99 if I go via my account but Qwerty21 link from yesterday just went through at £10.19 so thank you. A candle to get and then another present done

Thirtysomething123 · 03/10/2025 13:23

My tween DD is wanting some products from Sephora. I had no idea how expensive their products are. Do they usually have a Black Friday sale? 😬

STom2 · 03/10/2025 13:40

£5 off a spend of £20 and £10 off a spend of £40 at Hobbycraft with the code CRAFTY. I believe this is online only, but usually when placing an order before 8pm you can collect within an hour.

I picked up a fab wooden den frame for my boys for £29. Picked up some drawing tablets also, taking it to the £40, effectively making those free.

Myamoth · 03/10/2025 13:41

The candle lamp prices are strange - showing as £16.99 for me, even after using Qwerty21's link, and even after putting them in my basket and going through to checkout. BUT I tried the "buy it now" link instead of putting it in my basket after the advice from a PP and it did appear at £10.19 - but only if I order 1, if I try to order 2 it goes back up to £16.99 each! I guess we all just have to play around with it and see what works for us.

@FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease

ive bought some bits from aliexpress, hits - lunch box & Derpy keyring (plush one). Misses Small ladies choo choo Tain and teddy bears lounge pants, absolutely not small ladies, more like M/L men’s.

ive just done another order for some plush toys, stickers and k-pop cards, will see how they go. I did notice there are far more options on dress up than when I first looked.

I did take the risk of ordering an advent calendar off Facebook but I’m fairly certain it’s a scam. Going to give it a couple more weeks before contacting PayPal.

They do sales but not sure on Black Friday.

Has she actually said what she wants?

The Sephora collection stuff is very good and cheaper but it will depend on what’s she’s looking for.

An option is to turn the gift into an experience. My DDs wanted Sephora stuff last year so gifts from family and friends were cash and we took a day out to travel to our closest Sephora, over an hour drive, and had a day out with approx 3 hours spent hopping between Sephora and Space NK.

Houseofsardines · 03/10/2025 14:27

Whistlebare (Northumberland farm which sells their own sheep and goat wool) have 20% off Emma ball knitting accessory gifts- project bags, felted purses, and notions like stitch markers. This could make a good present for anyone who likes knitting.
I can’t seem to link through, but if you go on their website, then menu, and drop down to shop you can browse the accessories.

Depending on the products deals can often be found elsewhere. If you post a list we might have a clue between us all.

Thank you to @AnotherBreakfast for recommending MakeDo. Didn't know such a thing existed and will be perfect for DS who's now into cardboard craft !

Do you / anyone else know if they have a sale ? I've done a quick Google search and didn't show any results. Debating whether to settle for 10% discount for subscribing or wait for a better discount. Thanks 🙏

Candle warmer £5,

Note though that it's a different shade to previous links, it's from amazon marketplace with a 4-13 November delivery date. Can't determine height/width measurements either. Still may be worth a punt?

It's identical to this for £18.21 (same distributor)

Reposted from old thread. I can't keep up!

A while ago I mentioned the Superseconds Festival, which will be on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

I also wrote that it can be worth signing up to the mailing lists for certain sellers, because you might be sent discount codes or early access to their superseconds stock.

While checking some out today, I find that the sales have already started for some sellers, no code needed. Some have a "Superseconds" tab, click it and the items are already available to buy.

There are lots of printmakers for cards and pictures, etc and ceramicists where the postage is quite significant, probably because their stock can cost a lot to post.

Has anyone seen the Ariana Grande cloud perfume, the blue bottle for less than £28 please before I go ahead and purchase.

Did anyone else get an email from Amazon this morning about the cheap fleecey jumpers? Saying that the seller hasn’t confirmed the order….

Yes i did, looks like they'll be cancelled 😔

Southsiderg4 · 03/10/2025 18:38

In The Entertainer today and they had a lot
of toys reduced - not always obvious what was reduced as the labels are the same, it just has in smaller writing the old price above the sale price. Noticed they had the Melissa and Doug Schoolyard Tumble for £10. This was reduced to £11 on Amazon a few weeks ago which I thought was a good deal, it’s a very well loved toy in my house and full price is usually £30 or something. Wonder if they are doing away with the Go Tots range!

Quoting myself but I actually found 50ml at superdrug for £28.80 whereas it was £28 for 30ml at Debenhams! Thought it was a bargain incase anyone else is after it. Today only though for superdrug.

Hmm how to explain this, Temu do a £170 credit when you spend £180 (get 1.8 coins) i do these and then wait for the next £170 credit offer to use the £170 credit i already have to get the next £170 so you end up getting £170 credit for only £10, i done this over the summer and ended up getting £1000+ before they stopped offering the credit, they have started again now, hope this helps someone save some money xx

Yep me too 😭

Sorry if this is obvious but how does it only cost you £10?
