This isn't a thing I or my family have ever done. But online, I see that some people do. Do you?

No.

Happyher · 30/09/2025 19:19

No because I serve Yorkshire Pudding as starters and usually have something a bit different at Christmas

BashfulClam · 30/09/2025 19:26

Where does the gravy go if you have no Yorkshire pudding? I fill mine with gravy and send my potatoes in for a little bath!

Catpiece · 30/09/2025 19:27

Never have but I’m going to now!

I don't get the "right kind of roast" thing. In Yorkshire we definitely ate Yorkshire puddings with every kind of roast. It wasn't till I moved down south that I came across them only being served with beef. Very bizarre

I’m from Yorkshire and we had Yorkshire puddings with beef, with toad int’ ‘ole, with onion gravy or with golden syrup for pudding.
Never with Christmas dinner.

Eat the things you love when you want to eat them.

AlloftheTime · 30/09/2025 20:33

Yes of course!

pinkbackground · 30/09/2025 20:37

Absolutely

Nananananananana · 30/09/2025 20:50

Of course! Its not a roast dinner without Yorkshires

MrsBeltane · 30/09/2025 20:50

Never

OutOfDateTreacle · 30/09/2025 21:29

No!
Yorkshires only with beef!

VioletandDill · 30/09/2025 21:38

I don't eat potatoes. 🫣

So yorkies are my carb of choice

CaptainSevenofNine · 30/09/2025 21:39

Yes! Any excuse to have Yorkies. They go with any roast and gravy. 😋🤤

Linenpickle · 30/09/2025 21:50

Yorkshire puddings with every roast! Homemade too.

GameOfJones · 30/09/2025 22:24

Of course!

It is against the law in the Jones house to serve any roast dinner without Yorkshire puddings. They're one of the best bits!

Roast potatoes, stuffing, Yorkshires and gravy are the must haves on any roast dinner. The rest can be up for debate.....🤣

Choclabratwatowner88 · 30/09/2025 23:08

Absolutely, in our house we have yorkies with every roast. 🤪 think if I stopped serving them, there would be carnage 😂

oooh.....disagree with you on the stuffing!

It just tastes wrong with anything other than white meat!

No b’cos there’s so many delish sides that you don’t really eat bar than at Xmas & b’cos was never brought up to have them at Xmas. Only ever with Roast Beef in my house.

Algen · 01/10/2025 00:20

No, because we have turkey and I’d only ever have Yorkshires with beef (I’m not even a great fan of them with beef tbh).

Really not needed with all the other side dishes at Christmas anyway.

WearyAuldWumman · 01/10/2025 00:20

Never. Mind you, I never saw Yorkshire puddings when I was growing up in Scotland.

I've been given a Yorkshire pudding with Christmas dinner when eating out. A bit on the tough side, I thought.

EconomyClassRockstar · 01/10/2025 00:21

Yes because we have beef. I hate turkey.

Algen · 01/10/2025 00:22

Mind you, I’d choose Yorkshires over cauliflower cheese any time. When did the latter become a thing? Cheese and gravy do not mix!

SnowFrogJelly · 01/10/2025 00:34

No

Cauliflower cheese does not belong on Xmas Dinner.

That is a hill I am prepared to die on!

Curlywirlytrees · 01/10/2025 01:42

100% yes. I also cook them and have them at other times not always with a roast. I love a Yorkshire pudding.
