Hi @MerylSqueak - the ADVENT10 code for Boots is available on these calendars only:

https://www.boots.com/christmas/advent-calendars?criteria.promotionalText=Use+code+ADVENT10+to+save+10+percent+on+selected+Advent+Calendars+-+online+only

You put the code in the OFFER code box on the payment page and hit apply.

It should look like this:

Offer code:ADVENT10

Offer code has been successfully applied

I don’t suppose anyone knows if the revolution one dropped any lower than this last year? I was going to hold out until Black Friday but im tempted to get it now

IlovePond · 29/09/2025 14:18

@ILoveCatsAndKittens I think you should definitely get the S&G a/c if you can - it’s important to have some self-care as well as looking after everyone else!

There’s 10% off this calendar atm at Boots with code: ADVENT10

This brings it down to £43.20.

It’s a great calendar and it was the favourite calendar of one of the presenters on an a/c unboxing video produced by Cosmopolitan here:

It went half price on Look Fantastic and Amazon around the middle of November. I bought it for DD and thought it was well worth it.

IlovePond · 29/09/2025 14:20

Re Boots:

In previous years Boots have gone 3-4-2 on SOME a/cs in the run up to Christmas. However, there’s no guarantee that they will do the same this year or that your choice will still be available.

ILoveCatsAndKittens · 29/09/2025 14:49

Boots have annoyed me!
Last week and ended up having to do two separate orders as you can only apply one discount code oer order. So I had to purchase advent calender on one order (with bits to get free delivery) and then I think it was a food offer on a second order (and add more things to get free delivery).
I dont understand why they dont allow more than one code per order, annoying!

Threeboystwocatsandadog · 29/09/2025 15:32

I can’t remember who posted the free delivery for Smiggle but my parcel has just arrived and it’s awesome. Two take along colouring books with stickers, large set of gel pens, scented coloured pencils and two Mickey Mouse pop out pencil cases for £19.80. I wish I’d bought more of the pencil cases. They would actually make a good enough gift on their own.

does anyone know when waitrose open up delivery slots for people without a delivery pass? articles I've read online say "late september" but it's the 29th, how much later are we getting?

I've booked my xmas slot - last week. I haven't got a delivery pass and I always do click and collect from Waitrose ..

Oh actually the turkey crown is from "food to order" rather than groceries so maybe that's why, but I've also got groceries in my basket to collect on 23rd Dec

@Notlongnow1 I've just bought an escape room kit for the city we live in for DSD and her BF (early 20s). They have lots of cities and they have 3 for 2 on at the moment.
I've no idea if they are any good though! https://www.mysteryguides.co.uk/

Thank you for this - such a great idea. I've just purchased 3 of the 'let them choose' gift cards for the price of 2. One of those will do our annual Uni reunion (class of '87) wherever we end up meeting next year 🙂

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 29/09/2025 15:50

The 2 fleece lined Jumpers for £1.99 on amazon is still working for me:

How did you manage? I've only ordered a few times from Waitrose in the last 5 years so not exactly a regular but even when I try to book a slot for delivery the calendar doesn't go past October

jocktamsonsbairn · 29/09/2025 15:57

Has anyone ever bought or used one of those unsolved mystery or unsolved crime case files? They’re about £20 but wanted to know if they are worth it before buying! Dd has mentioned them before and I think DS would quite like trying it too!

Yeknom · 29/09/2025 16:01

@jocktamsonsbairni haven’t played them - but they’ve randomly come up in my Vinted algorithm of “things you might like” - people are selling them for around £7 on there if that helps!

We have done the cryptic killers ones. Great fun and quite challenging. Good for an at home date night

Ahh I've been debating ordering from Smiggle (got loads last year) The stuff is great as stocking fillers but don't want to pay delivery- be great if anyone has a free delivery code!

@Icanneverthinkofausername

It was @PumpkinSpicedTea

This was the one she was after

hby9628 · 29/09/2025 16:18

That soap & glory advent calendar looks lovely as does the No7 one which is sold out (shame as I might have got this for my teen). I’ve been eyeing up the benefit calendar for her but would prefer to find a cheaper way to get it if anyone has any ideas!

I can only see it for £44. I’m not very good with TikTok so I might not be looking in the right place though

Beautyoutlet is selling what I presume to be last year’s calendar for £30. I bought the Technic one which was only £20.

MerylSqueak · 29/09/2025 16:38

Thank you @IlovePond

IlovePond · 29/09/2025 16:47

@hby9628 - I can’t find a discount on the Benefit a/c but LF are giving away a nice little Benefit GWP with spend over £80 which works with the calendar.

jocktamsonsbairn · 29/09/2025 17:14

@Yeknom and @Cuwins thank you! I’d much rather try them out at £7 than £20!
