I certainly don't want an unhinged crab for Christmas Grin

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Can anybody remember the name of the jewellery website that did the bundles last year? I did quite well on that. Think they were mystery bundles & it was 3 pairs for about £10.

think this was Bohomoon
think I got an email from them the other day about their lucky dip/mystery bags

Londonmummy66 · 17/09/2025 14:07

Thank you for this - just ordered 4 items and got an extra 20% off the sale price, plus a free pair of studs and free postage

hby9628 · 17/09/2025 14:10

Yes! Solace. I’m wearing some too. Thanks @munchbunch12im wearing some small hoops. They are so comfy. I’m going to keep an eye on their site for any bargains.

DN (7) has asked for a milk frother that looks like my Velvetiser, but froths and heats milk. Not hot chocolate! Does such a thing even exist? Please can someone point me in the right direction! I'd love to get her exactly what she's talking about as she's lovely and never asks for anything normally!

Fuckingfuckssake · 17/09/2025 15:11

@daisyboo1just look for a milk frother, there’s plenty available.

Fuckingfuckssake · 17/09/2025 15:12

Continued - I have the Lavazza but there are plenty of budget options available, Aldi usually release one annually.

MerryLilac · 17/09/2025 15:32

Set of 5 star wars figures for £6. Really good quality for the price.

My three year old has been playing with these all week. She loves them and she's never seen star wars.

daisyboo1 · 17/09/2025 15:33

@Fuckingfuckssake thank you. I thought a milk frother looked like a flat whisk on a stick? That's why I couldn't picture what she was talking about. Have looked online at the Lavazza you mentioned, which seems ideal. But maybe pricey for a 7 yr old! And also saw a John Lewis one with a spout, which I guess looks similar in shape to the Velvetiser. I didn't know they were "kettle" shaped, IYSWIM. Would you recommend with or without a spout?

I was thinking of getting my husband a 3D printer, in past discussions I think the Ender one was recommended.

the v3.0 is currently £150 on the creality Website, which is £40 off and much cheaper than on Amazon (haven’t checked postage cost though)

We have a bambu labs 3d printer that I would also recommend. They regularly go on sale and have a very handy app where users upload designs for all sorts of cool stuff you can modify and print.

Fuckingfuckssake · 17/09/2025 15:53

@daisybooI’ve had a Velvetiser and the Lavazza, the Lavazza will also froth cold milk which is great for milkshakes and my DD when she was younger loved the independence of being able to make her own drinks. They’ve both got “spouts” if I’m understanding you correctly. Maybe someone else has a recommendation of something more appropriate (cheaper) for your DN?

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 17/09/2025 16:03

@daisyboo Asda do their own one for about £23.

mummydoris2006 · 17/09/2025 16:11

Thankyou to the poster who gave the heads up about the Clarins testers. All this for £13.95 😊. Ordered my favourite cleanser and received 9 samples in proper bottles, ideal for popping in my suitcase. I even got a mascara sample!

Should give 20% off underblankets

Sleeposaurus · 17/09/2025 16:18

@daisyboo if you already have a velvitiser, it froths milk. If you fill it to the lower fill line it works best. My youngest makes baby chinos all the time.

Is the offer still on? Could you remind us what it is please and how to get it?

IlovePond · 17/09/2025 16:51

@sillygoof - it was a Sunday only special offer. Clarins do them every now and then, so it’s worth keeping an eye out.

MaybeItsTimeForMeNow · 17/09/2025 17:05

Was about to post my own thank you for the clarins offer, mine matches that above. What a haul. So pleased 😀

VelvetThunder · 17/09/2025 17:13

Received this email today. I know lots of people ask for Argos codes so worth checking this out.

Edit: picture might not show. The email said that you can get £5 off £50 spend by downloading the Argos app.

I second Bambu labs.

But beware, 3D printers are one of those things where you always want to upgrade to the next one up.

TBF when we had the Ender, most of the time was spent printing upgrades for it 😅

It was a choose any 3 samples and receive another 6 bestseller samples with any purchase at all, but unfortunately like stated it seems to have only been on Sunday.
