This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

The forelli sale has added more new lines!

GriseldaClement · 27/08/2025 09:51

Just catching up. My Elizabeth Arden stuff came and all was fine. I’ve bought it and other toiletries several times from Amazon and only ever had one problem with ceremide capsules where they’d stuck a big sticker on the tube which l complained about and received a full refund. I didn’t have to send the tube back so spent ages picking off the incredibly sticky label and residue 🙄 Hope that’s helpful.

Always Such great bargs on here (only found you last year)! The Christmas shopping is well underway now 🥳👏. Would love to pick up a Lego bargain for my 5year old! Last year I snagged the 'robot Rollercoaster' from Very which I believe was about £90 down to £45 (someone kindly posted it on the thread) - I've been scouring Amazon / Argos / Very but yet to find the one! Would like it to be quite a big set as it will be his main present! Would love something like the Express train, but even on prime day it only went down by £15 and was still over £100 😭. If anyone happens to see a big vehicle / robot type lego set I'd be so grateful! 🎄

sc0ttishlass · 27/08/2025 10:20

@Tigger83 have you had any good buys from fiorelli sale? Looking at it now. Any recommendations? X

mumonthehill · 27/08/2025 10:33

@sc0ttishlass i got the cross body bag, they have it in black and white. It was £8 but it is now £10 and it is fab. I got for ds gf and will be great when they travel. It is well made. I am thinking of one for me!!!

IlovePond · 27/08/2025 10:41

Hi, if you sign up to the Boots a/c waitlist, you get a code for 10% off no7 products, which stacks with the other no7 offers, (e.g. 3-4-2).

Obviously, there’s no obligation to then buy one of the calendars!

It’s a good deal if you like no7 products.

Tigger83 · 27/08/2025 11:50

@sc0ttishlass no I've not received anything yet, I've bought a cross body bag in the coral colour, 2x brown cross body bags as gifts and a rucksack!

Bonjourlaclasse · 27/08/2025 11:58

Thanks @MerylSqueak, some lovely and Bargainous stuff on Sass and Belle.

skkyelark · 27/08/2025 12:02

My Haul order came, and most stuff looks pretty good. No random charges on the card I used as of yet either.

Watercolour pad and sketch book – both great, lovely thick paper.
Pom-poms and ribbon for crafting, clicker counters, snowflake window stickers – all fine, as I'd expect from normal Amazon.
Mini-telescope – seems pretty good, but I haven't tried the phone attachment yet
Embroidery scissors – not as nicely made as my expensive pair, but sharp and cut neatly
Hair claws – a tooth broke off one of them, but I think it's shipping damage – they were just in an envelope. They feel sturdy enough. I've not yet contacted Amazon about it.
Loofah sponges – very thin, I don't expect these to last long

Overall, quite a bit better than I expected and a bargain at under £8 for the lot. The current product range is a bit random, though – I can't see myself using it very often.

I usually pick up the trains from iwoot or Zavvi. We have them all now. But usually get them at around £100 each. In previous years i found they can double discount Lego.

Also if he’s into transformers I found Costco can be cheapest place. But price watch on Amazon as I’ve have some really good deals on there.

my son basically only gets Lego. He has an entire room just for Lego. But I refuse to pay some of the prices

For Fiorelli Outlet10 gives a further 10% off the sale items

IlovePond · 27/08/2025 12:48

Just noticed that DH is wearing his Haul joggers - bizarrely they both fit and look quite nice. The addition of those to my order makes the whole thing worthwhile, (just now wish I had bought two pairs!)

MrsMattSantos · 27/08/2025 13:18

Brand Alley have up to 70% off Monica Vinader jewellery at the moment, with quite a big range of earrings, bracelets and necklaces to choose from.
Ordered DD a wee diamond necklace for £63 reduced from £180 which will hopefully feel quite special to her, as she loves her jewellery

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 27/08/2025 14:38

I think I have signed most of my household up for Argos emails as £5 off a £40 spend.

Could you link the sketch pad please?

Can I ask for anyone who has bought a Barbie dream house … is it worth it? Also which one (I believe there are different versions?) and did you manage to find a good deal?! I am thinking opening a new Very account could be an option if they still do 20% off.

We never bought the dream house, we’d previously had a ELC one but it took so much room up so when we came to look for our youngest we ended up getting her the fold away Barbie dream house which meant we could fold it up out of the way when it wasn’t being used. We got it in an Amazon sale and was definitely worth it.

I was in B&M today and they had a few Christmas bits in so I bought some hot chocolate bombs (see photo and a hot chocolate cracker set for £4.

They also had a camera that printed photos off for £25.

I got a bargain a few weeks ago in the River Island sale, a pair of wool socks with matching hot water bottle cover and scrunchie. Was originally £25 but got it for £5, hoping my niece will love it.

I also got the same niece a cable knit bobble hat and headband with her initial on from Primark (think they were £4 and £4.50) and a lovely pumpkin soup ramekin with lid and matching spoon for £6.

It's the return of the Christmas bargain thread - 1 - the one where it's the first one of the year

I only found this thread in December last year but was so happy with the bargain Converse that were posted. Got a pair for my stepdaughter and for my sister! Hoping for more this year, thanks to everyone who contributes.

SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 27/08/2025 16:49

For any teen girls into the Sabrina Carpenter bow look B&M have lovely mugs, glasses, bowls etc all under £3.50. Just got DD14 a bowl for sweets and a matching mug for £6.50 to put in her stocking.
