Thank you! Shes tall for 6 but the bigger one ive seen on tiktok, so it'll be that one

I'll have to look around to get it cheaper (or wait for a hb sale) but she'll love it, thank you 🥰

If you do find a larger one cheaper please let us know. Would be ideal for my eldest dd. I've seen some on Temu, but not had chance to research x

Oo right now soft toys, cupcakes and sand

So I've got on the potential stuffed toy list
Peppa and George (not the baby unfortunstely)
Bluey and bingo
A dinosaur (she likes saying dinosaur but I took her to the jurassic park thing at battersea and she had very little interest)
Some cheap animals: rabbit, lion, farm animals

And then one big present - maybe something like the stitch toy

But now you've said it, i could get her one of those sensory spin chairs! And maybe some balance boards 🤔

Bless ds, he knows what he likes 😄. Last Christmas mine didnt open any presents and played with the cutlery on the table id set out so I thought I might try and take her away this year and minimise the gifts

God, sorry for the ramble 🙈

Would she play with hand puppets? Last year I got a puppet show stand off fb (was a shop one side and puppet show the other) and then lots of puppets from Vinted

whizpoppingcreature · 07/07/2025 11:14

Does anyone know if WHSmith do an annual summer toy sale? I got some fantastic bargains last year, I think in July, and I'm keenly looking out/ patiently waiting for another sale, but wasn't sure if that one was a one-off?

alfiebest · 07/07/2025 15:49

Yes please to the discount code for Yoto, do they go out of date soonish? Was hoping to stack if/ when they have a sale 🤞

Echo Buds are currently down to £19.99 instead of £129.99 on Amazon at the moment. Supposedly 85% off in the Early Prime Day deals.
At £20, I am sure they would make a great present. I’ve just ordered 2 sets. One for my husband for when he is pottering in the house and one for my brother, who is constantly losing things so I’m sure it will be well received. Xx

TheGriffle · 07/07/2025 20:07

Would a mini Yoto be ok for an 8 year old or
is it too young? Dd likes to have short audio stories before she goes to sleep but we don’t have any subscriptions like audible and she gets frustrated with our Alexa so she doesn’t have many she can listen to. Wondered if a Yoto would be a good alternative.

Elpheba · 07/07/2025 20:09

@TheGriffle absolutely YES. My 9year old listens to hers every single night without fail and we bought a mini one for going on holiday/long car journeys too. I literally cannot imagine our life without one in each kids bedroom 😂 if you’d like a referral code please shout. Gets me points to spend and gets you 10% off and it sometimes stacks with their 10% off code I think,

DS is 8 and still listens to his daily. They are bringing out more and more content for older children. Current favourite is diary of a wimpy kid but also has Harry potter, c s Lewis collection, tom fletcher books etc. His vocabulary and story telling is incredible for his age which I credit the yoto for.

sunshineandrain82 · 07/07/2025 20:28

Yes my dd is 11 and uses hers still

TheWeeDonkeyFella · 07/07/2025 20:31

£6 off £60 spend at Argos if useful to anyone: AA6PUBE2GCUH

TheGriffle · 07/07/2025 20:41

Thanks for the quick responses! She’ll be getting one as her big present I think then with a case and some cards to get her started.

NotMeekNotObedient · 07/07/2025 21:56

Baker Ross have a big clearance sale on and free delivery if you spend £29+ with code FREEDEL. Always find this site great for stocking fillers and Christmas crafts. They are on Topcashback too.

I usually search by things like 'mermiad', 'space' depending on what's relevant.

Thanks for this, got the stadium for DS8 for Christmas, he got a few of the megabloks sets for his birthday and loved building them and was coverting the stadium!

Worth looking at Hot Wheels stuff on prime, just got DS4 the stunt box £40 down to £27.

TongueTwister1975 · 08/07/2025 08:45

The Melissa & Doug ice cream shop is back down to £30 & lots of Tonies are 15% off for Amazon Prime day!

I also was smoozing on Asda this morning & found this wooden food truck for £64 but when I added it to the basket it went down to half price which is a great deal!

Yalz · 08/07/2025 11:43

Boots £10 Tuesday, as mentioned above, has some Estee Lauder and Clinique items. They are smaller sizes, but the Estée Lauder moisturiser I checked was cheaper per ml than I could find elsewhere. There are other skincare items which it says have an original price of £31+, but I don’t know if anyone buys them at that price.

It’s also worth searching under ‘Clearance’ today. There’s a lot of things which might be suitable for presents, including perfume. They also have stick on nails for £2 and up, reusable nappies for £5+, initial candles for £2 and dribble bibs at 3 for £5. They also have more expensive nails and nappies.

As always I filter by “items in stock” and “price low to high” when searching.

TongueTwister1975 · 08/07/2025 12:21

Ive just been into Asda and they have lotsof garden bits and bobs in the sale. Could be nice to do a gardening hamper. All still full price online.
For example, pretty ceramic pots, knomes, kneeling pads, twine, seeds, lighting.

Debtfreeme · 08/07/2025 13:01

Any good prime deals?

NoWordForFluffy · 08/07/2025 13:18

Asda has some good Lego deals too. Got one my DS wants for his birthday with 20% off (it's not reduced on Amazon).
