I know I've left it till the last minute and I should no doubt have this all sorted by now but I haven't and I really need some inspiration.

This year there'll be 6 of us it's usually 4 and one needs everything halal someone please help.

I don't mind if I have to do different things I'm just all out of ideas.

We normally have a choice of bacon/ sausage rolls, those tiny variety cereal boxes and something lighter as if the rest of the day is going to be excessive with a nice breakfast station with fruit, yogurt, granola on top.

SprinkleOfSunak · 23/12/2024 02:27

Smoked salmon on sourdough toast. People could also have scrambled egg with it if liked.

Panettone French toast.

Pancakes with fruit and cream.

SprinkleOfSunak · 23/12/2024 02:28

And shakshuka.
.

DaftyLass · 23/12/2024 02:30

We do coffee /hot chocolate, fruit tray, and toasted pulla (Finnish coffee bread)
We spend all day eating, so I don't go too overboard at breakfast

ForeverinBJ · 23/12/2024 02:30

Toast

MaitlandGirl · 23/12/2024 02:42

We’re having Belgian waffles with fruit and ice cream.

Last year we had vanilla Bundt cake :)

Snozzlemaid · 23/12/2024 06:32

We always have Jusrol pain au chocolats.
Quick to do and something we wouldn't usually eat for breakfast.

sashh · 23/12/2024 07:05

Keep it simple. Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon or cheese.

Tea / coffee / hot chocolate / orange juice / bucks fizz for the non halal people.

Or if you have a sweet centre near by then samosas and paneer rolls.

Girasoli · 23/12/2024 07:35

I've asked the DC - we are having waffles (bought) and pancakes (made) with fruit and squirty cream. DH is having bacon.

Jk987 · 23/12/2024 07:37

Not a lot and keep it meat free. Save appetites for lunch. Berries, yoghurt, granola, Croissants 😋

autumnboys · 23/12/2024 07:38

Smoked Salmon and bagels here, with cream cheese usually, or scrambled eggs if the main meal will be later in the day.

MinnieMountain · 23/12/2024 07:40

Frozen pastries so you can bake them fresh on the day.

I’m having toasted panettone. The rest of my family are having pork pie and pickles.

Ihatelittlefriendsusan · 23/12/2024 07:42

Scotch pancakes, fresh berries and maple syrup is planned for us!

ohidoliketobe · 23/12/2024 07:42

Jusroll pan au chocolate and cinnamon rolls and fruit salad. Easy enough in that there isnt a lot of faffing and are quick to make, but still feels a bit different to our usual cereals/ toast breakfasts

DisplayPurposesOnly · 23/12/2024 07:43

Fried egg sandwich and bucks fizz

GretchenWienersHair · 23/12/2024 07:45

I always buy a load of pastries from the bakery on Christmas Eve and warm them in the oven for brekkie on Christmas Day.

Frangywangywoowah · 23/12/2024 07:47

Pastries then scrambled egg with smoked salmon or bacon.
We have a long walk and don't eat Christmas dinner until about 5pm so this sees us through.

Skyglimmer · 23/12/2024 07:47

We are having croissants for breakfast. Something easy but different to our usual breakfast.

ShadesmarBead · 23/12/2024 07:50

Just have tea and toast and take pleasure in crossing something completely unnecessary off your mental load.

Favouritefruits · 23/12/2024 09:31

We always have a big wedge of panettone, really easy and super quick but very tasty! And no cooking involved!

hummingbird12 · 23/12/2024 10:06

Pastry or cereal and coffee/ juice

We have a big lunch so don't do a massive breakfast on Christmas Day.
We will do the big cooked breakfast tomorrow and that normally sees us through until early evening for dinner

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 23/12/2024 10:16

Fruit salad and bake at home pastries

SugarCookieMonster · 23/12/2024 10:57

DH is having smoked salmon scrambled eggs
DS will probably have some smoked salmon and toast
I’m having avocado on toast

I also have waffles, the ingredients to make a puff pastry Nutella Christmas tree and fruit in case anyone changes their mind or needs a second breakfast (DS loves having a second breakfast!)

familyissues12345 · 23/12/2024 11:14

We've got bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon for DH and DS2

DS1 and I aren't such breakfast fans, so I've bought some croissants and orange juice. I've just added sourdough to the milkman order in case we fancy eggs on toast or something later in the morning

Iwishicouldflyhigh · 23/12/2024 11:44

Turkey dripping on toast and cavier blinis.
