Craft idea like diamond art

Can anyone give me any ideas? For a teenage boy who doesn't fancy cross stitch, crochet or diamond art but wants something similarly pattern-following, as a little project to keep his hands busy. I'm completely stumped.

What about one of those scratch kits.. you scratch off the black to reveal colours beneath and it forms a picture?

Loom knitting? Kept me scare during lockdown, I have ADHD and my hands need to be doing something, it was much easier than knitting with needles (which I’m useless at), I made a big rainbow blanket that I use a lot. Also needle felting….you can make almost anything, animals etc..
