My older two have been desperate for pets all year 🤦‍♀️😊. 7 yr old already has her rabbit which was a rescue (hence why now) but we’ve been clear it’s for Xmas.
The older one wants a gerbil 🤦‍♀️. Not suggesting you buy pets as a last resort!!!! It’s all they’ve asked for all year.
Otherwise they are wanting a camera and, a furby. Eldest wants those hand skateboards - apparently they are a thing at school. I saw a helicopter ride for the 9 year old on Groupon for £60 that I’m thinking of getting him (someone else can be the designated adult). We always do a food hamper of things they aren’t usually allowed (lucky charms, Lindt truffles, nerds, kinder surprise etc).
Im taking my daughter on a pony ride with her cousin as their joint present. Might also do them a voucher for clip and climb.
As usual I will wrap stuff they actually need too - toothbrushes 😂, pyjamas, slippers, underwear etc

My 9yo will be getting an oodie blanket, think they're still 50% off and delivering quicker than last year thankfully, a barbie & ken, a jellycat, sylvanians ice-cream van and a cat family to go with, super Mario beach towel, a hoodie, a quick-build lamborghini and various hair accessories. Feels a bit boring tbh!

I have a just turned 7 yo DS who is really hard to buy for, but this year he really needs more actual things. Most of his toys apart from Lego, he has outgrown. His interests these days are playstation and football, or just being active outside. He got a really cool scooter for his birthday so that’s out! The reason he is hard to buy for is he doesn’t want for much - the only things I have managed to get him to ask for with any certainty is a watch and some sweets, and a sleepy Charmander to go with his other pokemon plushies. Main things I have bought him are:

  • Football set with pump and water bottle
  • Pokemon Carry Case thing that opens up and has a little habitat for minifigures, with a bunch of (secondhand) mini pokemons. He already owns a couple and the pokeballs which he likes.
  • Beyblade arena and a Spiderman/Venom set of beyblades. He loves spinners and making up little fighting games with blocks etc, so I am hoping he will like this
  • Sleeping Charmander plush
  • Pokemon watch and bracelet kit
  • Pikachu oodie style thing
  • Venom controller holder
  • Marvel/Venom funko pops
  • Slime kit with mix ins
  • Sloth teddy with those long velcro arms you can wrap round you
  • Vapour blasters lazer tag guns
  • Toy till (just remembered thats another thing he specifically asked for)
  • Little gold treasure chest with gold coins and gems, to expand on the til
  • He only gets 2 gifts from people other than us, which I organise. He is getting a Mariokart Scalextric and a cool kinetic sand set with some extra sand
  • His stocking will contain any gifts from the above list that will fit (probably the watch and funko pops), plus a disco bath light, some glittery bath bombs from Lush, and a bunch of sweets. He loves fluffy socks so I will probably get him some of those too

I also have a DD who is 9; I find gift buying really fun (but in some ways more challenging) as they are really starting to find their own interests and niches.

My DD very much prefers her stocking (more like a santa sack in capacity) to presents under the tree, so I put my focus here:

  • She has asked for some books around some of her interests and I have got 3 completely different ones.
  • Hello Kitty limited edition LOL mini balls x 2
  • Hello Kitty Miniverse food balls x 2
  • Harry Potter Miniverse potion balls x 2
  • 2 Funko pops from 2 of her favourite movies/shows
  • A cute mug
  • A hot chocolate kit to go with mug
  • A lush bath bomb
  • Nice bubble bath
  • Fancy kawaii putty
  • Cute blind bag plushie thing
  • Harry Potter Kinder Joys
  • Harry Potter Bitty Funko pops x 4

Under the tree she is getting from her relatives, an anime hoodie and t shirt, and a LOL big doll. From us she is getting:

  • Lego Harry Potter potions class set
  • Hello Kitty Oodie thing
  • Funko pop game
  • Anime model
  • Harry Potter bitty funko pop hogwarts castle
  • Squishmallow
