@Impatientwino this made me laugh 😂"Tracksuit the same as 12yo brother so he'll be delighted with that (12yo will be disgusted)"

What are you getting him then?

We don’t know yet. An idea from this thread is an Oodie. Maybe a PlayStation game although I don’t know if there’s a particular one he’s got his eye on. Robux is usually a winner because we don’t normally let him get them.

Adding to this - annoyingly the Doctor Who figures he really wants happen to be rare ones that are very pricey second hand. Some you can get for between £6 - £15 but some of the rare ones are £40!

He had his birthday a few weeks ago and I got him one of those mini Bluetooth speakers that comes with 2 mics. Was under £20 and it's been a hit (it's quite fun for adults too after a few glasses of wine)

My 7 and 9 year olds have both asked for football boots, a football strip, football cards and a football each. The 7 year old would also like lego and a sleeping bag (lol) and his big brother has asked for a pair of trainers.

beautifulbrothers · 28/11/2024 22:28

My DS just turned 7.

For his birthday, we got him:

  • a bike
  • Harry Potter Book 1
  • Squishmallow
  • Sonic Mania for the Switch

His favourite gifts from others (these would make fantastic stocking fillers for anyone interested):

  • Kanoodle puzzle game
  • IQ Gears puzzle game

For Christmas, we have planned:

  • Rubik's Cube (he had the Rubik's Edge last year which was a hit)
  • Cats & Boxes game
  • Speed Poo remote control toy
  • Poo Diary
  • HappySelf: My First Journal

We usually get something for the family too, and this year we're getting Just Dance for the Switch, which he loves watching clips of on YouTube.

He's got a younger brother and asked to get him a Toniebox. He has no idea how much it costs, but he was so quick to suggest it and picked out stories he thought his brother would like from the website 🥰 so we're going with it and will get him to choose some stories for himself too. They've got a decent bundle offer for Black Friday. I've heard Yoto is good too, but I think the Toniebox will suit us.

Edit: grammar 😅

Figgygal · 28/11/2024 22:31

@invisiblebark i don’t know if this helps, but there were a couple of Dr Who things in B&M last week, including a first doctor’s tardis & Davros, in case those are of interest?
