Best card games or small boxed games?

I usually put a card game or small game in a Xmas Eve box (teen children). Along the lines of Monopoly Deal / Uno / Yahtzee / Pit.

The last couple of years I’ve come across some random ones through lots of internet searching that have been really good and we still play sometimes.
Can anyone recommend any good card game or small boxed game, not to tricky to learn, that’s a bit different to the usual ones that come up on an internet search? Just hoping for a hidden gem I’ve not come across. Thanks 🎄

Exploding Kittens is a hit in our house.

Sushi Go! I love it and it’s always my first choice on a cards night.

sussed is good too. Sussed after dark is the adult version.

Our absolute favourite is Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza

My dd1 (16) loves Cards against humanity. But the family version as the adult one is quite rude apparently!

We all love unstable unicorns, zombie dice and llamas unleashed.

Thanks I’m looking these up, some we have. I just googled Guillotine and of course lots of pictures of guillotines came up, think I’ve found the card game now, it’s coming up quite expensive but looks interesting.

We like 5 alive, Mantis, exploding kittens, sushi go. Or for something different to cards, One Night Supervillian.

Forgot to say earlier that zatu are a good website for board games and have good sales going at the moment

Was gonna say this! Our 9 & 7 year old love it so maybe bit young for teens? Also Sushi Go. And Colour Brain.

Emoji card game by Ginger Fox is good - I played it with my 8 year old grandson - some action things and making funny faces etc but we both enjoyed it. Could have done with more than 2 players.

Ligretto

We have had it for years, and it's great for holidays as it's only a small box. Quick and easy to learn, and quick to play, and works just as well playing with a bigger group or just two. It isn't the cheapest but I'm sure it's a purchase that will last for years

I’ve bought a few cheap ‘music/movie’ quiz card games from B&M for this Christmas. I saw one called Encrypted advertised on social media that looked fun, but it was £30 and I’m not spending that much on a card game.
