I hope you don't mind me starting this thread this year @beautifulsunflowers I absolutely loved this last year. I watched from afar and followed along doing one thing everyday to spread the cost, time, energy and Christmas cheer throughout November and December.

What is one thing you plan to do today to get organised?

That's a good one! I definitely need to do a cupboard stock check, it is bulging.

Pick up the books dd2 has asked for, while she's not with me. Also buy a CD she keeps mentioning, look for another (Adele 21 deluxe), and I've ordered something this morning.

I need to make a start on Christmas. Feel really behind compared to normal. I spoke to my grandmother yesterday and have an idea for a gift for her, so will get that ordered today.

I’ve sorted stocking fillers and advent calendar fillers for my LO :D

Today I'll write a list of all the presents I need to get. I tend to overspend if I don't write a list, and I have started picking bits and bobs up already, so the list needs to happen ASAP!

I'm going to do similar today, make a list of all presents I have to get and the approx cost so I can budget and try to stick to it.

Mooching some gift shops as on a little break to the coast, will go in armed with a little list of stocking fillers I have yet to find and see what I can do. Guilt free spending 😂

I’m pretty organised. Two days ago I wrote my Christmas cards. Today I’m going to write a list of the ‘treat’ food I need to buy. I am adding a couple of food items to my weekly shop.

Started my list of what to get everyone. Bought hot chocolate coins (waitrose) for each of my 3 boys as stocking fillers.

Have bought most of my Christmas presents already. Today have changed my autumn mug to Christmas mug and have switched the regular table cloth for a Christmas runner. Tomorrow I plan to put the tree in place and fluff the branches up ready for decorating.

Bought presents for my sister, cousin and neighbours (thank yous for the help my neighbours have given me).

I added my own advent calendar to the Tesco shop coming next week. ☺️

I deep cleaned the fridge and did a freezer stock take during this week (half term). Today teen DD and I visited Lidl as they have superior lebkuchen, in our opinion. First official purchase for the Christmas cupboard 😁

Also a taste test of mini stollen bites was completed.

@Openmouthinsertfood I’m so happy to hear this about your tree, my main job for today was persuading DH to get the trees and decorations from the garage rafters and we’ve agreed on tomorrow 😂🎄🙌

I need to see what’s in the freezers too , I have the kitchen one fridge/freezer and two small chest freezers in the garage .
I will do a trip to Aldi to stock up on the skin on chips, pizza and garlic breads for DS .

Then I need to organise myself to go to Costco .
The pantry is ok I tidied that recently (smug)

Not going to make a cake this year. But maybe cinnamon buns and freeze some
Chocolate brownies
chocolate chip cookies

other than that it’ll be the boring tidy up that no one wants to do but needs doing

My sister sent me a Whatsapp of the town centres Christmas tree and said if theirs are up, you might as well put yours up!

I actually wrapped one child's presents 🎁 chuffed!

Replaced the bottle of Bailey's that I opened the other night,with a new one.

I've shopped and wrapped for my grandchildren who live in Vietnam as need to get the parcel sent soon.

I've bought my Secret Santa present ready for the family Christmas party at the beginning of December.

I've bought my grandson and granddaughter most of their bits and some little gifts for those I'm spending Christmas with. I don't send cards, apart from to the family in Vietnam.

I bought a lovely dress for the Christmas party on Vinted for an absolute bargain.

I'm responsible for ordering and paying for the goose which I'll sort out this weekend!

Freezer run down is a good call. I might do that this week too.

im planning on sticking shopping next week (if I can work out what to get for a 13 year old girl (should be easy) and a 16 year old boy (not so easy!)) and will do my nieces present at the same time. Then the hard stuff begins.

I gave the house a good clean today. I live alone with a dog, so I'm hoping that it won't get too disastrously grotty again before Christmas, then I can just do a superficial scrub down just before everyone descends for the day.

I also took delivery of another parcel, which means I've almost finished my Christmas shopping, the only stuff I still have to get is stuff I have to do in person. Oh, and I dug out my Christmas-smelling room spray and candle, but not going to use those just yet, because it still feels too summery up here, I want some cold, crisp weather!

I ordered my turkey from the farm where we always get it.

Bought some presents-asked everyone for ideas but so far only DIL has sent a list so she is pretty sorted.

And I have written a to-do list so I can triumphantly tick things off

today in preparation for Christmas I bought toffee nut latte coffee pods for the coffee lovers in my house. They are in a Starbucks range for dulce gusto pods and the box looked very festive 🎄
