Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

@Restlessinthenorth we are taking ours (18 & 13) don’t think they would have forgiven us, however as a result they have a very small Xmas budget this year. I’m hoping to get some bargain buys for their stockings either from here or NYC.

Pull & Bear have some good bits in the sale and a discount if you buy 2 things it’s 5% off and if you buy 3 it’s 10%. Just got DD some basics for £50 for 3.

if Anyone is looking for Tonies characters, Boots have the 3 for £40 deal, but it also stacks with £5 off on baby/kids items and 8 points per £ for parent club members, so works out to be £35 for 3 + £2.50ish in points

DD14 isn’t very helpful with what she wants for Christmas, so far I’ve got her some moisturiser and face wash, couple pull&bear clothes.

she isn’t mega into skincare/makeup/fashion, lives exclusively in joggers

im stumped. She might like a pair of DM’s but she’s still growing so not sure…

For those of you going to New York, I’ve noticed Bath and Body Works getting very popular over here. It is the one thing I have noticed that is far, far cheaper in the US. I lived in the US for 10 years and they were my go to soaps and candles!

Soaps over here are about £10 but I wouldn’t pay more than £3 ($4) for them in the US. Candles over here are £30 to £35 and I wouldn’t spend more than about £10 ($15) on them in the US. It’s the same with pretty much all of their products they are significantly cheaper in the US. They always have 20% off discounts if you sign up for the newsletter and their stuff is constantly on sale. They have really nice scents and designs so they make very good presents.🎁

I'm very sorry to ask, but does anyone have a screenshot of the Oodies thought to be the real ones on True Face on eBay please? I know someone last year kindly did an analysis and I took a screenshot but have cleared my phone since then... I know avocado and star wars are real as we have them both but was wondering about others for gifts this year. Thanks.

For those of you who live near a designer outlet, I had a good haul yesterday! Crocs had half price sliders and flip flops plus buy 2 get 30% off which stacked so I got 2 pairs for £21

also got a couple of t shirts for the grown up ds’s and a pair of vans for £36.

And a room spray from M&S that’s all cinnamony and orange and has that lovely Christmassy smell.

went with dp who bought me a great M&S oodie to put away for Christmas 🤣

Thanks @MilkyBadBoy and @Blessedbethefruitz . It's confirmed the pizza one I was eyeing up for friend's DC. The Winnie the Pooh one is also real as bought that for sister last year. Went down a very deep rabbit hole earlier trying to find the bit on last year's thread with the comparison.
