We cover all the important issues here!!! 😀 Sun is out and the washing machine is on; hoping the sun stays for the day.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/06/2024 08:52

Our forecast is a bit ropey today. Not sure we'll do any washing. Overnight / tomorrow will be washing time!

I knew it wasn't Adam Sandler, but my brain couldn't recall who it was. I love Zoolander though. I have an awesome photo of DS as a tiny baby doing 'blue steel'. 🤣🤣

Ben Stiller has another Evil Twin Xmas Grin
(Not the best photo but my pesky computer wouldn't let me have that one !)

Two Hundred Days <Fanfare>

I did some weeding yesterday ( paved patio are so came out easily ) DS swept up all the leaves
My muscles are so not talking to me this morning <ouch>

belgiumchocolates · 08/06/2024 22:44

Very windy here today but reasonably warm. Heading south at the weekend for a family wedding which should be nice.

My Christmas stash is getting depleted as I dish things out for birthdays and anytime someone needs an item. I can't help but pipe up with 'just a sec I have one of those' 😂

belgiumchocolates · 08/06/2024 22:46

Adam and Ben are interchanagable for me

Into the 100s!! 🧑‍🎄 🎄 🧑‍🎄🎄🧑‍🎄🎄🧑‍🎄

It's meant to be rubbish today. Need to take the dog out before the rain hits (we had a much-needed lie in), then it's cleaning and cross stitch once it's done!

yippeee for the 100's.

I'm just waiting for the washing to finish so i can hang it out and then spend the next hour ironing but dashing out every 10 minutes in case its started chucking it down. Supposed to be dry but looks very grey.

I'm in a very can't be arsed mood today which is a shame as I've a list as long as my arm of jobs including putting some silicon on the shower door to stop a leak - I resent paying someone £100 to come and do a 5 minute job but later today when the silicon is all over me and the wall I will realise why it is worth paying someone £100.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/06/2024 11:11

I'm shit at doing stuff with silicone. I let DH do those jobs! Generous, me!

We're forecast rain, with some grey but dry spells. We're going to hopefully have a dry hour for the bedding to go out. It dries quickly, so that'll be enough to get it mostly done, then it can hang up to finish off.

Magnoliasunrise · 09/06/2024 11:21

I'm shit too but DH even shitter. 😂

Good luck with the drying!!

NoWordForFluffy · 09/06/2024 11:36

We're risking it. Forecast is 40% chance of rain at midday, then nothing til 7. So it's getting put out!

DH is a former builder, so he's definitely better than 'enthusiastic amateur' clumsy as fuck me!

Exciting to be into the 100s 🎄

Having quite a productive day here, the sun is out here luckily making washing easier. Just peeled veg for tea, I sound like my dear Granny, she used to be super organised. Makes a change from how we are usually.

Lots of Christmas threads at the minute, really enjoying reading them all. I may have listened to a few festive songs earlier, they boost my mood so much. Who knows what the neighbours must think!!

belgiumchocolates · 09/06/2024 21:52

Ive just checked out the Christmas board as well @JenniferGreenHat . Its nice to see a few threads popping up I will definately be browsing

NoWordForFluffy · 09/06/2024 22:46

Well, it absolutely chucked it down here in the end. Our washing got almost-dry, then was hung up on the drying rack to finish off / air. Dry tomorrow, apparently, so the towels are doing overnight.

I'm seeing more Christmas threads pop up too. I've not seen the snidey, 'it's only June, you know' posts yet. Probably just missed them! I think it's quite normal to at least start getting it into your mindset now, if you're a planner generally (not just around Christmas) like I am.

I made mincemeat yesterday, so that's one job done. 🧑‍🎄

Morning all!

Pouring down here but managed to get all the washing done yesterday. Didn't do the shower as couldn't find the silicone gun for ages then when i found it realised my silicone was black and i needed white so had another long search and finally found some white but it had been used and not stored properly so it was hard. 🙄
I've got some more coming today so thats tonights job.

Impressed with your mincemeat already. I have been known to make christmas puddings in June but I think it will be a bit later this year.

I havent seen any other christmas threads but I'll keep my eyes peeled now.

NoWordForFluffy · 10/06/2024 07:31

It turned sunny as we got up today, so it was very wet underfoot, with massive puddles, but very bright sunshine!

We still have Christmas pudding left over, so we need to resolve that issue before I make another! I can recommend the Mary Berry one as it's not a dark, dense pudding, which I'm not fond of.

NoCheesesForUsMeeces · 10/06/2024 14:56

Quick check in from me. Things have been busy here so haven't had time to even think about Christmas.
Am balancing sorting the garden, 2 work projects, decluttering, redecorating the spare room and trying to coax my ancient car into lasting a little longer. Could do with a beak tbh!

magnolia neither me or DH are allowed anywhere near silicone. He's left handed and this seems to make it harder for him and I'm just cack-handed and clumsy - we get my dad to do it instead (tradesman)Smile

Weird weather here today. Started bright and warm, then went grey before going back to bright and sunny but with cold strong winds Confused
Have put the last of the washing on the line and am just hoping for the best.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/06/2024 17:55

I have a Christmas Pudding in the pantry too Fluffy Sainsbury one .
I used to make one (IIRC the Bero recipe book) it was light in colour with no/very little sugar

If the Sainsbury one gets eaten next week (Fathers Day Dinner) then I might make one for Christmas ?

NoWordForFluffy · 10/06/2024 18:45

Ahhh...I used to make the Bero scones as a child!

We've had bright but windy (bloody chilly) weather today. Northerly wind being the reason!
