It's a leap year next year, so an extra day to wait!

I've ordered 120 baubles today, as WeRChristmas sent me a 50% code for today only. Annoyingly I could get our new tree way cheaper today! 😭

I'm exhausted now I've finally had time to sit and relax. Tomorrow is a chill day.

I had to cancel my dentist appointment last week because of a cold sore. It's been rearranged for Valentines Day. Nothing says "I love you" like a numb mouth and a little bit of dribble.

The dentist was fine thank you everyone. Dd was too unwell to come, ds needs to stop sucking his thumb (I knew that). Oh and dh appears to be ill, actual ill not man ill 🤮 hope I don’t get it, I'm far too busy and important to be unwell.

lucysmam some dentists are just rubbish. I think posted here about mine, who checked, told me a filling had come loose and requires treatment which is why everything is so sensitive and sore - then tapped my bloody teeth.
It was so painful, I had to sit on my hands so as not to throttle her 🤬

Fluffy is it awful that I'm pretty sure my thoughts went the same way as yours 😳

Let's hope the Christmas hating interloper lost poster has worked out how to hide the Christmas boards.

Just incase though, there's nothing wrong with thinking or talking about Christmas, whether it's January, August or December 

🎄CHRISTMAS TALK INCOMING 🎄

I'm planning to start a crochet blanket soon. I'm thinking of doing squares - either coloured lights around the edges and motifs or one big c2c image in the middle, or just rows of Christmas lights.
Aim is to bust my stash as much as possible (pics attached).

I'm continuing the pattern search for now but want to be able to say I've started it by the weekend.

@NoCheesesForUsMeeces just in case you might find it useful there is an app called CrochetStudio where you can put in your colours/yarns and select either stripes or squares and it will create a pattern for you. It doesn't do corner to corner though

A bit of both meeces will moan about it at home but continue to go to work (has had fewer than five days off work sick since we me 17 years ago I reckon). Will also never go to a GP, will just moan.

My dentist asked me about sensitive teeth on my first visit (I had to change last year as my old dentist closed) and then tested by holding super duper cold cotton wool against my teeth until I hit the ceiling 😱

I'm hoping to make a few small toy type things, the Christmas blanket then a stripy stash buster - and then I should have space to buy the yarn specifically to make a mosaic blanket of some description.

Wreck your DH sounds similar to mine. Only 2 sick days he's taken in the last 10 years were enforced ones when he had Covid.
He will moan at me but treats me like I'm trying poison him/am crazy if I offer paracetamol or suggest the GP 🙄
