I'm hungover, dh has gone out to the pub and I'm snacky

I've already cracked open a block of chive cheese and the Pringles are snuggled on the settee with me. I have my eye on the Christmas Baileys and mine and ds' classy tea of chicken nuggets and pasta was very nearly replaced with pigs in blankets!

Half a block of brie, several gherkins, some ham and a generous glass of port.

MahShinyShoes · 23/12/2023 18:43

Haha! We've got nuggets & pizza too.

I'm desperate to crack into the pate and the deli meats. 50% of my fridge is out of bounds, it's killing me.

DitheringBlidiot · 23/12/2023 18:45

As far as I'm concerned christmas food is now well within limits.

Which is good because I've already cracked open the cheese, crackers, pickles, ham (various) and crisps.

Oh, and the baileys.

Autumn1990 · 23/12/2023 18:46

I opened the quality street yesterday but I’m trying to resist the chocolate log

Nasahoodie · 23/12/2023 18:46

I've already gone through a Christmas cake (shop bought bar one). Found out earlier today my kids have eaten the FOUR tubs of pringles I got for Christmas. Kids are at their dad's tonight so I've cracked open the Bailey's and cheese and crackers.

DahliaMacNamara · 23/12/2023 18:47

Not food, but I've had wee slugs of Glayva and Bailey's. Purely for quality control purposes.

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 23/12/2023 18:49

A whole fudge yule log (not on my own) Which I then replaced with 2 more😂

The chocolates have been open since we put the tree up

Some snacky bits were started when we had a small family buffet last weekend with those we won't see on christmas day so we have been finishing those off too.

We seem to have an abundance of mince pies so they might have to be handed out with every cup of tea

ChimChimeny · 23/12/2023 18:51

Yule log, about 10 mince pies, 2 tubs of Roses and a tub of Heroes 😳
Luckily we bought more mince pies today and have another tub of Roses hidden 😋

KingofCats · 23/12/2023 18:54

Haha
ive eaten most a tube of pringles
a Camembert
plus some part baked rolls that should have gone with the Camembert on xmas day
cracked open ferrero rocher

i am feeling bereft as i forgot to buy marzipan fruits

Thestruggler · 23/12/2023 18:55

Nothing for me yet. Think as I've been doing all the Xmas food shops I've just got sick of the sight of it all.
DH and the kids have been at the chocolate, Pringles, stollen bites and for DH, some of the alcohol.

BigMandsTattooPortfolio · 23/12/2023 18:56

Half a stollen, most of the stollen slices and a packet of dh’s posh spicey nuts.

SnowRoomAtTheInn · 23/12/2023 18:56

DH just opened the port. I’m tee total, so have to console myself with food only <poor me>

Had two mince pies for breakfast and am considering forgoing dinner and starting on the cheese & biscuits instead.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 23/12/2023 18:59

M&s Cornish cruncher & cider molten cheese dipper thingy…yum, and we've just opened our huge wiltshire ham and have carved away at it..delicious.

lightand · 23/12/2023 19:02

Some quality street.
Wouldnt have, but had some visitors who we wont see again until after xmas.

puddypud · 23/12/2023 19:03

The advent calendars.

wineandsunshine · 23/12/2023 19:09

I was feeling smug by having sushi for dinner.

However, I've just eaten lots of quality street and a quarter of a stollen log 🐷🥴

<step away from the cheese>

SocksAndTheCity · 23/12/2023 19:12

I ate a big bag of bombay mix and I haven't replaced it. It kept me out of the Pringles.

I have also eaten (and replaced) a whole tub of Celebrations which I shouldn't have opened in November 😀

Pandaandpurple · 23/12/2023 19:16

Just some of the cheese for now, but we do seem to have bought a lot of cheese this year so it needs using. 😂 And we’ve just opened some Prosecco this evening. The Quality Street remain undisturbed (for now at least). 🍫🍫

TodayForTomorrow · 23/12/2023 19:17

Pringles have been cracked open!

FantasyFox · 23/12/2023 19:18

God, I was feeling guilty about snaffling an avocado and noble about leaving the smoked salmon, nothing else has been touched. I feel I should go back to the fridge to show solidarity with you all.

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 23/12/2023 19:19

Ooh I'm not sure I could wash down Pringles with Baileys. Love Pringles, love Baileys but not together. Have you considered courses? First course cheese and chives and Pringles with wine, second course chocolate and Baileys. Repeat til you vomit or pass out 😁

BlueberryVelvet · 23/12/2023 19:21

Mozart balls and After Eights are officially open!

We have also opened the 5847382 types of olives DH bought and have been snarffing them all day.

CharmedCult · 23/12/2023 19:21

We’ve opened the Pringles and also started on the cheese and mince pies.

A tub of Celebrations has been open for a few days now.

We got a F&M hamper today so will be having the smoked salmon from that tomorrow and it had a jar of turkey, sage and cranberry rillettes which I plan on having tomorrow too!

itsgettingweird · 23/12/2023 19:23

Edited

It would be rude not to 😂

So far I've only had 2 mince pies.

However we got the table covered with the Xmas tablecloth and plates etc this evening as in this house Xmas food eating starts on 24th!

We are at my brothers Xmas day and ds goes back to swim training Wednesday and proper food!

So it'll be a quick scoff if anything not glued down for 3 days 😂🤷‍♀️

BurbageBrook · 23/12/2023 19:24

Half of the advocaat... mince pies... some nice biscuits.
