I’ll start,
O Holy Night.

Something about this Carol that makes me all arm and Christmassy inside 😍

@Ambivax & @MrsMoastyToasty
I like that one too from school. WA or elsewhere?

TeenDivided · 11/12/2023 18:38

DD's Primary school used to do a lovely, it started:

Sing your praises, let your cares behind, because it's Christmas, Christmas time.
(or something)

I always loved the American tune for O Little Town of Bethlehem.

And like everyone, love In The Bleak Midwinter .

Hark the Herald Angels sing, love the descant on the final verse
O Come all ye faithful, with the descant on Sing choirs of Angels
Ding Dong Merrily on high
Joy to the World
and from the Messiah -
O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion
For unto us a child is born
and the Hallelujah Chorus.

Herefordeals · 11/12/2023 20:16

O Come, Divine Messiah.

@JenniferandJuniper

O Come all ye faithful, with the descant on Sing choirs of Angels
agree however even better is the seventh and final verse
“Yea Lord we greet thee, born this happy morning” which is only ever sung on 25th. The harmony used in the most common version is incredible.

The Wild Wood carol, by John Rutter, is lovely!

OO don't know that one. Sounds perfect
