And I've always loved calypso carol (see him lying on a bed of straw) !

'In the Bleak Midwinter' is lovely, & often overlooked.

"It came upon the midnight clear", just beautiful lyrics. "Beneath the angel strain hath rolled two thousand years of wrong... oh hush the noise ye men of strife, and hear the angels sing."

And I'm a bitter old atheist.

I have to say One in royal David's city . I think it must have been the carol of my primary school's choice , it just makes me feel cocooned and safe .

@FartNRoses O Holy Night is my all time favourite - listen to Carrie Underwoods version..100% goosebumps!

The Reginald Jacques arrangement of Away In A Manger is the only carol to have ever brought tears to my eyes. Actual weeping when DS1's school choir sang it one year

Mine varies, but at the moment it's "Quelle est cette odeur agreable" sung by the choir of Clare College Cambridge

Love the Glooooooooooooriaaaaaaa bit. You can really give it a bit of welly.

Hark the herald angles sing.

I can smell the school hall when I sing it. But I love it.

I find O Holy Night a bit...karaoke. Feels like every Bublé and their mother has covered it.

I love 'It was on a Starry Night' sang by small children - just beautiful

We sung Christmas Carols at our wedding (it was a NYE wedding). Everyone was singing so loudly, it was lovely. The carols have been mentioned here 🥰
