Long time lurker! Thanks to you all I got the white stuff sock advent calendar amoung other wonderful things!
Ds3 wants Dior sauvage and I'm searching for a really good price. I had thought I'd find a nice gift set with shower gel but they are ££££££ ... Any suggestions for ways I can get the price down for the aftershave or both?

ArthurChristmas22 · 04/12/2023 22:43

Just LOL, at the beautiful diddy ballet shoes. My DD has just bought hers in. What happens when they get to 18, have completed all the grades and are on vocational training. Always black, always with holes 😂

I bought my son his for Xmas direct from dior. Came with a free 15ml bottle too and the 60ml bottle can be engraved for free. Also comes beautifully gift wrapped in a dior box 😍

I had an email today to say my swizzels have been dispatched. Wonder why some went through and not others?

ASDA still had a lot of popping candy chocolate oranges when I went in yesterday. In the name of market research I ate one of them to quality control it. I wasn’t sure so I also ate the second one I bought today.
They passed the test!
Apparently they are exclusive to ASDA this year

Erm, the Duck squishmallow (I assume) was available in Rymans when I was in last week. There's also loads on ebay. I get a lot of squishmallows on ebay as my DD collects them. As long as they have the tag and are described as new / good condition you should be fine. The 'fluffy fucks' are actually called Fuzzamallows (or should that be Fuckamallows?) 😁

I got the duck squishmallow kind of medium sized from Asda but it was a good few weeks ago now.

@ChoccyJules I bought some light up bouncy balls (Christmas design with glitter inside) in primark last week. I think they were either £1 or £1.50 each and were in little boxes (in a display with some other Christmas themed toys inc spinning tops and light up yo-yos etc). Hope that helps!

LittleMousewithcloggson · 04/12/2023 23:01

ASDA
(sorry, not easy to see but if you click on it it says £1.50 and exclusive to ASDA

Oh yes, to update I got my Turkish Delight from Morrisons. Despite never finding it when actually in store I added it to my online order and it has arrived! Thanks for all the other suggestions but I was looking for bog standard flavours so happy with this one.

oatmilkisntsobad · 04/12/2023 23:09

@tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz my in-laws always do table presents so I thought I'd carry on the tradition with my dc. I stopped a few years ago - they looked lovely on the table but it was always a faff trying to serve lunch, pull crackers and open table gifts. Much more relaxing without them. Hope you're more organised than me and enjoy them!

I’m struggling with ideas for a secret Santa present for £15-20. Recipient is a mid 30s man, no children, very intelligent, engineer. Any ideas would be gratefully received

I'm trying to think what my colleagues have asked for. Funnily enough boardgames are pretty popular. Does he have ticket to ride Europe? There's an expansion called 1912. Settlers of catan is always popular too but a bit expensive, I'm sure I've seen personalised 3d printed parts for it too if he has a set already. Search custom catan pieces on Etsy. There's also always interesting food and nice kitchen bits as engineering is very methodical cooking so they tend to go through a stage of learning to Cook Properly (the hello fresh era). It's that or a spud gun kit.

Fuzzy ducks🤣

I'm still on the hunt for dark chocolate bargains if anyone has seen any please?! Needed for Friday!

If someone likes actual good dark chocolate, you are better off buying decent quality like Lindt. Buy less and better quality. Green and blacks isn’t great. Thorntons is rubbish. Hotel chocolat isn’t all that. Lindt is my favourite mass produced.

TheSeasonalNameChange · 04/12/2023 23:36

@Starlin how about a monster truck for the 4 year old? Usually some in 2 for £15 at Argos or in tk Maxx and there's a hotwheels shark megalodon one. This one looks just the ticket https://groceries.asda.com/product/toy-cars-transport/hot-wheels-monster-action-sharkruiser/1000186031143

Unbelievably, my Oodie hasn’t arrived and Oodie are ignoring my emails. Does anyone have any alternative contact information for them?

Otherwise I am going to have to try to get a refund via my cc.

I am so disappointed with the company 🙃

Thanks

Edited

I bought an oodie on Black Friday weekend, I had chased them up a few times and they did eventually respond, saying they were working through orders and had updated their FAQ with timescales. My parcel wasn’t tracking through the post, however it has miraculously been delivered today!
Hopefully that’s them catching up with deliveries!

Dee1224 · 05/12/2023 00:39

Fingers crossed @Fluffbrush !

LoopyGremlin · 05/12/2023 04:07

My Swizzels order was also cancelled ☹️

Woolabaloo · 05/12/2023 05:52

Dee1224 · 05/12/2023 00:39

Fingers crossed @Fluffbrush !

My three Oodies (ordered 9th Nov) came yesterday too, and my colleague ordered one on 19th and that came on Friday. Looks like they’re getting through them. I think mine took longer as I ordered 3 and so they had to wait for them all to be available at the same time maybe. Not impressed with the delays and the way they seem to handle stock etc like this, but they are now here after I started to lose hope reading about others’ experiences! Fingers crossed for yours!

Laney79 · 05/12/2023 06:49

Anyone seen any bargainous iPad pillow things? Like the JML pill-o-pad? Or can you recommend a good one? I'm after one for my dad...

weebarra · 05/12/2023 07:14

Carrie Elspeth, the Welsh jewellery small business have £10 Tuesday on their gemstone bracelets which are usually £29.99.
I missed this last time so glad I managed today!

@Famousthehero thank you so much for the Escape room tip - brilliant gift for a tenner [link on page 5 if anyone reading this wants to find it] and helped me out massively.

recklessgran · 05/12/2023 07:29

A few nice gifts on Boots £10 Tuesday this time.

Dee1224 · 05/12/2023 07:36

Thanks @Woolabaloo - that gives me a bit of hope!

captainflash · 05/12/2023 07:38

@Dee1224 I am still waiting for my 4 ordered 2nd November. I’ve had the generic emails, sent two ‘please cancel’ emails and heard nothing! I’m really disappointed.
if you read the Trust pilot reviews, lots are in the same boat. Some people are getting a bit of luck by emailing steph@ as opposed to help@
Worth a shot maybe!
