We're not a jigsaw-y family, but last Xmas really enjoyed having one lying around for everyone to pick away at.
Show me your favourite ones!
I'm on the hunt for one to please a family of adults

I really enjoyed the Agatha Christie one last year. This year I'm getting Hercule Poirot.

We really liked the London AZ map one. But we live in London so enjoyed that knowledge aspect of it.
Any map one is good.
There is a colour gradient one which was fun.
we love a jigsaw!

Got to be a Ravensburger 1000 piece, I like the Colin Thompson ones. There's a Christmas one - https://amzn.eu/d/3oAoI73

When we were in lockdown I bought a 1000 piece map of the world. Fantastic to learn where the different places were. It was very educational and google came in very handy.

I love Elena Essex puzzles. The illustration style and gradient designs in so many of her puzzles really appeal to me. She has two Christmas/Wintery themed ones - Winter Spirit and Christmas Cornucopia.

The Hua Dada ones on Amazon are very good value.

They come in quite small boxes which don't do them justice (though are easier to store) but include a full sized picture inside which is easier to put up than keep balancing the box.

Some have numbers or letters on back to section them if you are limited for space but you don't have to use them if you are a jigsaw purist.

NashvilleQueen · 02/12/2023 18:55

I like Michael Storrings ones

slumberlogmillionaire · 02/12/2023 18:55

I got this one last year https://www.wentworthpuzzles.com/wooden-jigsaw-puzzles/contemporary-art-jigsaw-puzzles/north-wind

So beautiful and lovely to do, will do it again this year too. Lots of nice ones on the website as well.

@toastofthetown Those Elena ones look great to!

We like the Mike Jupp ones. They're humorous and have lots of detail so they're not too difficult or frustrating.

Tidypidy · 02/12/2023 19:19

We've found several lovely Christmas themed jigsaws in our local charity shops. Haven't paid more than £4 for any of them! Dd likes 1000 piece puzzles best but she is a big jigsaw fan! When she was small, she'd complete the puzzle then break it up and do it again but upside down and back to front! The harvest one in picture was v difficult but very satisfying.

This Ravensburger 2000 piece old map of the world. I love a map and jigsaws so the best of both worlds for me. And it wasn't as hard as I thought it might be

TK Maxi often have good selection of puzzles, especially at this time of year and they usually cost less than most retailers too, various different themes. M&S have also released some at Christmas time in the past which I've enjoyed but haven't looked this year actually...might have a look in a bit now I've been reminded.

I've done this one and others in a similar vein a few times and really enjoyed: https://gibsonsgames.co.uk/products/1980s-sweet-memories-1000-piece-jigsaw-puzzle

1980s Sweet Memories

Description The 80s heralded a new high tech age - computer disks, mobile phones, home computers and camcorders. At that time it was good to find calm comfort amongst familiar sweet brands and those penny chews. While some pack designs moved tentativel...

Don't even go near this one! It doesn't look so hard until you start, and realize that many of the pieces fit together, but the pattern is wrong.
I gave mine to the local charity shop.
The normal Wentworth jigsaws are fabulous though. The pieces are chunky and very satisfying to put together.
