Anyone fancy a Sparks 12 Days of Christmas thread?

I'm waiting up till midnight to see what my first offering is. There are the usual suspects on the advertising image (percy pigs, looks like a hand cream, wine etc) There are some canny prizes up for grabs by the looks of things, but there are sure to be some duds as well!

Here we go. I'll show you mine, you show me yours!!

I opened the Boots window today and a pop-up flashed up with a hotel competition first and under that, the 15% off new beauty. I clicked on the 15% offer and it took me to my Advantage card offers. No sign of the 15% off anywhere.
I weren't back to the 12 Days of Christmas window and the competition offer is still there, but the 15% offer has disappeared ....

That's weird. My app took me to the offers and let me add the 15% to my card.

Oxford St John Lewis are out of the mascaras and won't be getting any more apparently, if can save anyone a wasted trip!

Arteza art supplies are doing 12 days. I just got an email announcing the first offer: 30% off 'real brush pens'. I've had their gel pens & they were very good, in a wide range of colours. Subscribe with email to get the offers.

I got one the other day they are v small not worth making a special trip for even if they’ve got them…

@FredaFox yes thanks. Phone undated to latest iOS 2 days ago. I might look on a laptop then, if I can remember passwords. Annoying though.

@GladioliandSweetPeas - the JL advent is in your Rewards. If you can’t find it, try logging in and out, that might make it appear.

I could have gone to JL on Friday to claim mascara, but it didn’t occur to me until too late that everyone with a JL account seems to have had the same ‘prize’, so inevitably most people would miss out. I am sure some poor staff are getting abuse from disappointed customers- it’s just really badly thought out on JL’s part.

I got the lip balm offer from M&S today but when I went to collect, I realised it was useless to me as it’s an almond one and we have almond allergies at DeeTowers🙃

However, I noticed that the t&c helpfully say you can have the hand cream if your store doesn’t stock the apothecary range. I am now, therefore, in the ridiculous situation of looking for a more badly-stocked M&S in order to retrieve my ‘winnings’🤣

In case anyone is waiting to pick up free M&S hand cream (my prize on day 1), I got mine today and in my store there were quite a few left; they're kept in glass boxes by the tills.

@Dee1224 I'm sure if you went back to your store and asked a member of staff and explained why they'd let you have the handcream as an alternative anyway. The offer will still come off your sparks as it's a valid alternative offered . The till and sparks card doesnt know if your store has stock of an item. It just knows it can give you certain barcode products for free

Free lip balm for me today, (not any good if it has almonds in it like one of the other posters ) would have rather had the perfume some of you got as I use that one !

Won’t be taking it up as previous attempts have been rather fraught. First year, DM thought she’d ordered gingerbread house kits online for her 3 DGDs, but they were only cutters, so I ended up making gingerbread and royal icing from scratch. Second year, got kits from IKEA containing actual gingerbread and icing, but houses kept collapsing so muggins had to hastily make caramel (and the burns faded after time).

Ah, that's interesting. When I finally got the mince pies offer added on the w/s, it said I had 11 days to redeem it. So I assumed each day's offer started with 12 days to redeem it - but it doesn't, because today all my added offers say 8 days to use it. So on the last day presumably you get 1 day to use it.

Just in case other Sparks people didn't realise either...

I just got the gingerbread kit, too.

The only useful thing to me is the free mince pies, & I stand a chance of getting those because (a) I go to a foodhall once a week, whereas I'd have to drive to town, pay to park, walk across town etc to get clothes & homewares, & (b) it's mince pies, they'll have loads in stock, right?

Even the mince pies aren't for me, because I was diagnosed as diabetic this year!

@ChannelLightVessel thanks for the heads up, there. Checked my Sparks offers, and I've also got the £2 off Build your own Gingerbread tree. I'll be popping in on Thursday, so hopefully they have some left.

Sorry if someone has already replied but yes you can choose, if it’s the same offer I received today Discovery 30ml midnight bloom perfume you can choose other perfumes from the discovery range.

I went in and redeemed my hand cream gift today - they were by the tills as people had noted in other threads, so I was glad I'd seen that tip!

Tonight I have a new offer of either a nutcracker or initial hanging decoration - if they don't have either, I can choose a hand cream instead ... may just be going back tomorrow! Luckily I work round the corner from our M&S!

Hang on a sec, so that means you've had two freebies in four days? Ooh. That's interesting (If I've got that right) as I thought everyone would just get one, and the rest of the offers would be just % off.

Haven't read the full thread so sorry if I've missed someone else sharing but I have just ordered some PJs using the 20% off from day 3 for me and it stacks with the 10% off clothing online at the moment (so got a £36 dressing gown for £25ish) so happy with that!
