Anyone fancy a Sparks 12 Days of Christmas thread?

I'm waiting up till midnight to see what my first offering is. There are the usual suspects on the advertising image (percy pigs, looks like a hand cream, wine etc) There are some canny prizes up for grabs by the looks of things, but there are sure to be some duds as well!

I wonder if it's a rime of day thing. I'd imagine 10am on a Saturday morning could be quite busy traffic wise with folk checking.

I was having bother yesterday and kept toggling back and forth between home / rewards / discover.

Yeah, JL has been showing me that message since yesterday. I even uninstalled and reinstalled and no difference. The only thing I can think of is that they asked me about marketing preferences and I set them all to no, so maybe that’s it?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've just tried it. Nothing happens. It just sits there as though I didn't click anything.

And somehow, having gone through the w/s yesterday, it logged me out of the app.🙄

And then yesterday, M&S emailed me to say 'We hope you liked your surprise'. 🙄🙄

No definitely every day. I was up late last night and like a child I opened mine just after midnight . Then the excitement of winning a packet of iced Christmas cake slices kept me awake 😆

How bizarre. I still couldn’t get the Marks advent calendar to open. I thought I’d try logging out. So I logged out, but before I logged back in, I decided I’d hit the advent calendar button and lo and behold, it worked - even though I wasn’t actually logged into my account. How weird … Colin the caterpillar box of bits for me.

When I open the app the calendar isn't there. I got a diffuser yesterday but can't even see a link to that. Do you have to use the offer on the day you receive it?

So it's basically a bag of random sweets. That's OK.

@ifIwerenotanandroid I had this problem yesterday on the app. When I clicked on 'open todays door' on the home page nothing happened, so I accessed the calendar via a different page (I think I clicked on sparks card at the bottom in the middle) and then I was able to click on door #1

Yesterday I got the 20% off cards and wrapping, but today I got a free box of mince pies! And it includes the gluten free ones so I'm happy.

Stupid question, how do you access the 12 days offers? I'm on my m&s app in the "sparks" section and there is no mention of "doors" - is it a separate sparks app?

Got the free Colin bits in my local M&S this morning - glad it was a freebie as I most definitely wouldn't be paying a fiver for it.

It should be in the Sparks section if you scroll down a little. If it’s still not there then delete the app and redownload.

Updated the app, then it worked - thanks! Yesterday was free apothecary room spray which I'm chuffed about

For me, the app is entirely ignorant of the 12 Days offers. I've tried searching for it by name & going through all the offers (Sparks & not) that I can find, & it does not exist within the app.

I can only see it on the M&S website, which tells me to use the app!!

I've got free mince pies, but clicking on the tick (presumably adding it to my Sparks offers) does nothing, either. It hasn't appeared in my new offers or added offers. How are you meant to use these things in the actual shop? Do you just scan your Sparks app barcode & it already knows what your offer is? Or has it failed somehow?

@ifIwerenotanandroid it's not that complicated! No adding to offers or anything. Just scan your app ( or sparks card)

I've updated the app & it now shows the 12 days, but when I tick the offer, STILL nothing happens. It doesn't appear in my new or added offers.

So I'm on the app, looking at 12 Days, & it says 'Get even more magic on the M&S app. Scan the QR code or download the M&S app for more magic this Christmas, including 48 hours to unlock your daily festive offer.'

But I've already unlocked the offer on the w/s, so I didn't need the app. And now I'm already on the app.

This is utterly pants. Badly done, M&S, badly done.

Then (a) why doesn't it say so & (b) why is there a green tick just like when I tick new offers to make them added offers & (c) why doesn't it appear in 'added offers' & (d) why does it say 'View Added Offers' underneath today's alleged offer?

... actually, I've now looked at 'How it works' & it says this:

' Simply open the relevant door to reveal your daily festive offer or gift, and this will then automatically appear in your Sparks 'added offers' ready to use.'

Which would be lovely if it worked (although why there's a green tick in the image is anyone's guess, if it's automatic). But it doesn't work. When I click 'View Added Offers' it just takes me to my normal Sparks page, where it says 'Added offers (0)' & indeed when I click on that nothing happens.

So presumably I'm not getting any free mince pies. It's still pants.

So my question to everyone who's opened a door is this: does your offer or gift appear under 'Added offers'?

Either it does & something's failed for me, or it doesn't & M&S's 'How it works' is wrong.

Is anyone else having these problems?

Same here, the 12 days gift is not shown in the list of active offers in the sparks tab of the app
