14 year old phone obsessed relatives - what games do your teens enjoy that we can all play together? We have Exploding Kittens and Monopoly Deal already which they liked.

Cards against humanity?

Janislowe · 22/11/2023 09:53

King domino
Sushi go
Azul -not cards but good fun
sagrada - dice but not as you usually use dice!
Loot
Dragonwood

Groovybooby · 22/11/2023 09:53

CATAN, Yhatzee, Uno and Articulate. Watching with interest as we are running out of new ones to try. We tried Exploding Kittens but didn't see the attraction.

masterofnone · 22/11/2023 09:53

Dutch Blitz - great fun!

fearfuloffluff · 22/11/2023 09:56

Jungle Speed? It's basically snap but the images are complex mandala things and you all have a pile in front of you, so you have to look in lots of places then grab a wooden totem thing in the middle if you spot a match.

We also used to have lots of fun with a game called Pit that is similarly frenzied.

Both have the advantage of not taking up much space!

Dobble, The Really Nasty Horse Racing Game, Oh Hell (simple but great fun card game, google for instructions), Sequence, Rapidough. These are all much loved in our house.

LolaJ87 · 22/11/2023 10:01

Dobble is great, we played it at a family gathering last Christmas and all enjoyed it. Very simple but good fun!

LBOCS2 · 22/11/2023 10:04

Codenames is enjoyed by our 11 yo and our 16yo.

Whatineed · 22/11/2023 10:04

If it's for Christmas Santa versus Jesus is a brilliant game with group participation and loads of different challenges.

Then there's Obama Llama and it's Christmas equivalent Santa Banter.

Do you have Pass the Pigs?

Mummybearsporridge · 22/11/2023 10:05

The Pictionary card game is brilliant, really funny and no drawing!

CharliesAngels81 · 22/11/2023 10:05

Chicken vs Hotdog
Colour Brain
Here Mentatlity

WinchSparkle80 · 22/11/2023 10:10

Herd Mentality has become a firm favourite here. My 74 yr old Dad found it hilarious as did 12/13 yr olds.

RedHelenB · 22/11/2023 10:13

Ludo. Nothing better for family alliances .

Momoffourx · 22/11/2023 10:17

Card games? Shit head and spit always popular also Uno is always good for any age.

User236792 · 22/11/2023 10:20

Game of cat and mouth is surprisingly good at engaging board game/card game refusers and bringing out unexpected competitive tendencies

BeggyMitchell · 22/11/2023 10:23

Herd Mentality - bought it last year as a lighthearted Xmas game., teens loved it and the took it to ex on boxing day, then it went to some other relative of his & i haven't seen it since !

@fearfuloffluff I’d forgotten this game! I played it on a cottage hen do and it was so much fun!

Ds is 15 and he absolutely loved dobble on holiday. We have the normal one but also they make a Friend's one which we have too.

Capz · 22/11/2023 10:29

Card games -
The Mind
Skip Bo
Phase 10

Board games -
Ticket to Ride
Mandala
Draughts

BeautyFromBad · 22/11/2023 10:29

The Taskmaster board game is a lot of fun.

thinkitsme · 22/11/2023 11:06

Logo game is great for every age

buckeejit · 22/11/2023 14:25

I'd look at the length of time suggested on a game.

I recently joined a board games club & I enjoy the simpler games rather than the long ones. Big potato are a great shout - block party, taco cat and I love 'that's not a hat'

Justkeepatit · 23/11/2023 08:09

Colour Brain is good, I find teens lose interest in the long winded waiting on your turn games like monopoly, cludeo etc where as this one everyone joins in together
