I’ve just had a request for a bottle of Victoria’s Secret body mist!! I will be ordering online and ain’t familiar with the brand does anyone have one they would recommend it’s for a 16 year old

Nearlyadoctor · 24/11/2023 10:45

Anyone waiting on Laithwaites I’m beginning to think they’re in serious financial trouble. I ordered a taster set last weekend and my husband ordered all our Christmas wine £200+ ( hosting this year) with named delivery day of Wednesday. Money taken immediately . Website has been down since Tuesday, order not listed on his account. He’s emailed them as no live chat or phone contact available, email response is they’ll get back in 2-4 working days. BE WARNED - if you planning on putting in big wine orders.

VelvetThunder · 24/11/2023 10:52

The entertainer have an extra 10% off their 70% sale with code extra10
It take the big giga toy down to about £14. They also have smasher eggs below £10 which little ones love and the new little mermaid doll is around £5.

How do you get the 20% off at JDSports with Klarna to work? I’ve got a pair of Adidas trainers to buy that seem to be exempt from all discounts everywhere and I can’t bring myself to pay full price so would be great if it works.

evtheria · 24/11/2023 10:53

Free Click & Collect all weekend with TKMaxx :)

If you just click on the Klarna option at checkout it should be applied automatically. You then have the option to pay in 3 instalments or in full. Only open to new Klarna users though I believe.

Mummypete · 24/11/2023 11:07

Ahh that might be why as I’m a regular Klarna user or the trainers I need really are excluded from all promotions.

shash1982 · 24/11/2023 11:07

@LilLauraloo teen DD and her friends like midnight bloom and velvet petals.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 24/11/2023 11:10

God, I have never known a Black Friday so utterly crap. Everything I wanted is more expensive, including DDs bed. Poppycock!! This time last year we were two threads ahead. I do think BF is dying a death / becoming a pisstake.

Anyway, been rl shopping to M&S this morning. 20% off some beauty brands.

Thread 12 - the one where we're hoping for mega Hotel Chocolat bargains
TheGirlWhoLived · 24/11/2023 11:12

I agree. It seems the week before is the time to keep an eye on discounts rather than the day itself!

buckeejit · 24/11/2023 11:13

Agree, I think all the businesses go early & there's basically nothing new today. I'm pretty much done apart from some VR meta quest games -and having to order my own Ukelele from Santa but that's very exciting.

If anyone happens to see or hear of anywhere that has a PS5 portal in stock, would be grateful

MerylSqueak · 24/11/2023 11:16

Arran Aromatics have 40% off everything today.

Could anyone suggest anything I can buy teenage niece, notoriously hard to buy for as she has expensive tastes Grin

She's very into her horse (does show jumping), expensive skincare and trainers it seems.

Usually have loads of ideas for what to buy her but this year I'm stumped. I normally make a little basket of snacks for teens but she is a very very picky eater.

Any ideas from anyone in the know about teen girls? So far she has two sol de janeiro sprays and a colour wow hairspray at her request.

Space NK have 25% off lots of stuff inc Sol de Janeiro

TheGirlWhoLived · 24/11/2023 11:19

Good luck @buckeejit i think that’s going to be tricky! Have you signed up to Alerts on stock informer and stock checker? That’s how I managed to get hold of one back in October

15 year old -Starbucks voucher? Bubble tea kit? Jewellery from Lisa Angel , cold cup, made by Mitchell make up (tiktok), stationery

This made me laugh. I really appreciate the suggestions but she is 1.5 not 15. I can just picture her mums face when i present a starbucks voucher 😀

Forgot to say, found the pixo bitz studio down to £8.74 in the entertainer yesterday

It was hands down the best gift dd got for her bday this year, she's played with it non stop!

Would you say this is ok for a 9 year old? Thanks!

Yojjy · 24/11/2023 11:29

Not a bargain but I wondered if anyone had any suggestions. A good friend had a baby at the beginning of the month and I’d like to get the baby a little Christmas gift, but she’ll only be about a month and a half. I’m sure she’ll get lots of “baby’s first Christmas” things from family.

I don’t have children myself and she’s the first close friend to have a baby so I’m a bit clueless about what is an appropriate gift. I wondered about getting a book, but do I go for a baby book or something a bit older she can keep? The Usborne illustrated fairy tales book someone recommended for another poster above is lovely, but is it silly to buy something like that for a tiny newborn baby? Or any other non-book suggestions would be very much appreciated!

MamaK19 · 24/11/2023 11:29

Bit niche but I am looking at booking a Safari lodge experience and West Midlands safari park as a gift for DW only one night but the price makes me want to cry, only code I can find is BL but that doesn’t apply to lodges, a may just have to suck it up and pay full price but if anyone does know a discount code I would be incredibly grateful 🦁🙏🙏

WidowedMum · 24/11/2023 11:34

Does anyone want 3 free tickets to ideal home show at Christmas? They say Saturday but I think that means they can be used any day including the weekend.

skkyelark · 24/11/2023 11:37

@Yojjy , we really liked getting classic books that our babies could grow into, so would have loved the fairytales book. If you wanted a baby toy that could be used sooner, I often get a 'Squeakaboo' rattle as a new baby gift – there's something just right about them, both my girls and lots of other babies I know loved them from a couple of months old.

One of the nicest gifts I got was a gorgeous christmas tree decoration. My DS loves putting it on the tree every year!

Wood wick ellipse candle down to £20.66 on Amazon
I've just bought Fireside which is gorgeous

sycamorescrumptious · 24/11/2023 11:40

I'm after recommendations please! DS (7) has got a robot dog on his list to Santa. I know this will not be played with, but it's been mentioned many many times so I need to tick the box for him somehow!!

Any recommendations for robot dogs (non fluffy sort) that are as cheap as chips would be hugely appreciated please!
