Thanks you@clpsmum and @Sallyfreckles for your help in getting that great Instax deal!

DiscoChristmas · 23/11/2023 17:56

I’m looking for a Minecraft themed soft toy. Can anyone recommend where to get one from please? Need it to be soft and cuddly.

Nearlyadoctor · 23/11/2023 17:56

@Iluvchristmasbargains - Laithwaites website and phone lines have been down for the past 2 days. I placed our Christmas wine order on Sunday for delivery yesterday and still nothing , recorded message on phone. Their customer service is usually very good so I’d try again tomorrow and if not ring them and I’m sure they’ll honour it.

Soscrewed · 23/11/2023 18:02

Naked Marshmallow sets half price on the Scots website with their OUTLET50 code here

I've never bought them before so don't know whether that's a good deal for them, but worth a look.

Well that worked nicely! Nike, £172, to £129 for air force trainers (kids), 2 women's leggings and 1 child leggings saving 42 squid ! Thanks all,

btw there are some Nike airforce already discounted, I did try loading with UNiDAYS, but sadly wouldn't accept!

NoWordForFluffy · 23/11/2023 18:15

I had £10 off a £50 spend at Asda in my rewards. Might be useful for Christmas bits for someone if they also have it.

ArthurChristmas22 · 23/11/2023 18:16

Thank you for the scrawlr offers! Never heard of them, although it's backfired as I've bought them for DS who is the artist in the family! So still looking for DD!

gawditswindy · 23/11/2023 18:33

Anyone seen any good prices on Disney Lego age 4+? The smaller DD would like Lego but needs something more straightforward than the bigger one. I find myself resenting Lego's prices, especially for something that will be built in half an hour.

Craft ideas for 18 year old:

have a look at the Indian block printing company - they have fab printing kits which make great presents. They are really effective and not at all childish.

TheGriffle · 23/11/2023 18:59

Thanks for the S’mores link @Soscrewed Ive just bought 2 sets for our Christmas Eve boxes and with the discount it somehow came to £21.25 with free delivery, despite being £25 each!

Muddyandwet · 23/11/2023 19:06

If the original price is truthful, this is a massive bargain:

@ArthurChristmas22
Noah pottery kits look very trendy and grown-up - currently half price I think, but they also offer kits to make those terrazzo dishes etc you see in places like UO and Oliver Bonas.

There are also Artful boxes, which cover themes like calligraphy.

You could also buy a basic whittling set and some different soft woods, one of my DNs is a young teen but learnt off YouTube and now carves spoons and figures for us all!

bizzey · 23/11/2023 19:20

Can someone advise which AirPods are the best to get?

AndThenTheWolvesCame · 23/11/2023 19:21

@gawditswindy Amazon have the Disney train on offer for £22. Each part of the train is based on a different character so it can be built in stages rather than a big rush to complete something. Lovely set and a good deal.

If your child isn’t into specific characters the City range are always a bit cheaper and have some great smaller sets. This pet van is £8.99 and you get some animal figures too.
The Lego Friends are great, you can get ice cream van for around £13.

Apologies if you already know but some might not. Any of the sets with a red circle and 4+ written on them usually have special instruction books to help guide kids. There are big hands on the page with the piece they need shown in it.

I’ve tried adding the 25% off for Airforce (older kids) but it’s not accepting it.
I have the app and am I member

Is anyone else struggling with Laithwaites? I wanted to use the discount code they sent with the taster box to buy a case. I put the code in to see how much it came down to, closed out to go and do something else, and now it tells me the code has been used!

I couldn't get any code to work on laithwaites when I tried the other day. It said the code was accepted but then didn't discount anything. I couldn't see any reason from the t&c's why not. I was going to try again when the website is back up and running.

ArthurChristmas22 · 23/11/2023 19:40

@evtheria and @Nestnearlyempty thank you so much! Pottery set ordered and now I'm sat pouring over Indian blocks, wondering if I can lock myself away and make cards and paper all on my own 🤔😂 (maybe with a Bailey's, my Valette Christmas candle and a florentine....)

MrsChristiesChristmasCake · 23/11/2023 19:47

@Soscrewed thanks for the tip! And to @TheGriffle .

I think it's a glitch alert! ⚠️

I wanted the vegetarian smores kit, but the code wouldn't work. It said it was just for the outlet. But if I added the regular smores kit first, it worked and gave me both for £31.87 with free delivery.

Getting two of the normal kits is a better deal though!

gawditswindy · 23/11/2023 19:51

Thanks for that @AndThenTheWolvesCame. The train is tempting.
