Has anyone seen a cute non threatening (!) light up stuffy, the type a 4yo could cuddle in bed at night? I'm not averse to temu (seen a lot on there) but for this I need something UK made and safety rated for obvious reasons! Absolutely nothing that will talk/move like those little hedgehogs that are coming up in my searches😅Size unimportant, but not a dinosaur or monster (apparently almost as scary as the dark). Yes we have a grow clock and nightlight in the room already so it's not pitch black...

My DS has this one, it just glows different colours. I don't know what the pricing is like as it was a gift but he likes it! It's a dinosaur

Does anyone have any ways to save on Lego sets exclusive to Lego and John Lewis?

Am completely stumped with this!

thanks

@Montanna15 some of these are still available. The streets at the front with tram are and it runs back and forth avd the top left alpine lodge is too. You can’t see the train clearly but it’s likely only available second hand

Has anyone seen a nice grandparents book? The ones with questions about their lives, I’d like one which has space for answers from both grandparents really. I’ve seen a nice looking one on Amazon but it has American phrases for some questions.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but Tesco have some gifts on clubcard offers, they had dinosaur lights for £3.75 https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/313740060

mummydoris2006 · 22/11/2023 21:32

@wideawakeinthemiddleofthenightagain she uses the official pods so can't advise on the cheaper ones, sorry!

mummydoris2006 · 22/11/2023 21:32

Charlotte Tilbury has quite a few items as 2 for 1 until midnight and a some more with 30% discount if anyone was looking for some make up bits 😊

wideawakeinthemiddleofthenightagain · 22/11/2023 21:36

Do DryRobes ever do a discount? I know there are cheaper alternatives but for brand obsessed DD, having an actual DryRobe matters.

shinny · 22/11/2023 21:40

Does anyone know how to get a Joules discount? My DM has spotted something for £60 so would love to reduce it a bit if poss.

If your partner or anyone in your family is a bit of a geeky Robot wars fan then this would be ideal for them. They can recreate robots battles in mini form!

Down by 60% so massive saving at the Entertainer.

Omg so grateful for this! One of my ds loves robot Wars- we have the book but he’s too young for to start all the building and soldering etc you’d need to do for the real ones. This is genius.

@TKRedLemonade i am so in awe of your Lego village. I want it I want it!

WhyDoesItAlways · 22/11/2023 21:05

I don't think they make a specific christmas train anymore. There are second hand ones but they are £££.

DP found instructions to convert a regular lego train into a christmas one online that worked well. Even had a rotating christmas tree on it. He got the extra pieces he needed to make it from brick link but it was a bit of a challenge.

That sounds cool, he would love that. I'll look it up! Not specifically looking for a Christmas train, normal train plus a few discount Christmas bits are what I'm on the hunt for 😊

I've never heard of these so will have a look thank you!

Is 8 too old for playdoh?!

Have a look at Klutz sets on Amazon. There are loads and they’re great with everything you need included. I’ve bought many over the years and they’ve always been really well received.

Coffeeandchristmascake · 22/11/2023 22:01

That's an impressive village @TTKRedLemonade

Anyone have any ideas of good games ( cooperative rather than competitive) for a 10 year old boy?

1stTimeMama · 22/11/2023 22:06

@buckeejit Have you looked EMP for your daughter? They have some fair offers on at the moment, with extra discount on top and Topcashback too.

I've never heard of Klutz but what fantastic variety of sets they have!! Spoilt for choice with these, thank you so much!!

EverythingLouderThanEverythingElse · 22/11/2023 22:19

You To Me books, but I haven’t seen one with space for both grandparents

Annahh · 22/11/2023 22:23

@ItWasTheBestOfTimes thanks for the Claire's extra 20% off discount that gave me the final push to make my order which I wasn't sure about!

Have you seen the glowies?

There's a pink or blue one, not sure if your little one would still find it scary though?

Or cry babies goodnight doll lights up and that's just a doll... with a huge head 🤣

Is the Ariana perfume suitable for a 10 year old? My DD has asked for perfume and I don’t know where to start - whether to get a proper perfume or go for something specifically for kids.

How about a blend your own perfume kit? There are lovely ones for about £25 on not on the highstreet and make it quite fun for a child this age.

nopuppiesallowed · 22/11/2023 22:38

@RatatatCat
You could buy your dad a gardening kneeler stool. It's a padded seat which you can flip over to make a pad to kneel on and the legs turn into metal frames to hold on to push yourself up from your kneeling position. You can find them in Amazon for about £30.
