Thanks @GoatsareGOAT for the title. Luckily, she was referring to the board game peeps!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

30% off at Snapfish or 50% off over £50 with SPXMAS23.

I can’t believe how fast these threads are filling up!

Ive been looking on groupon and there are a few local deals on Christmas related activities- ice skating near me for example. Worth a look.

Campus gifts have numerous discounts at the moment including ones on Yankee Candles, Emma Bridgewater and Jellycats. My DC traditionally get a jellycat each in their stockings, so If I ever see money off them I get very excited!

Thanks for the Jellycat tip, that’s 3 presents ticked off my list!

Can anyone recommend some ready mixed non-alcoholic cocktails for my pregnant step-daughter. Thanks in advance x

Black Friday banner at George Asda says 20% off when you spend £25 on selected clothing, footwear and accessories (exclusions given on homepage)

DS is looking for an expansion card for his Xbox s. I have no idea what I’m looking for. Something that gives him extra space to store games as it uses downloadable codes only. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

whoknows1230 · 20/11/2023 22:47

@Aquicksitdown, we've got a Da Vinci frame at home and it's really good, very solid.

I did splash out and pay £30 but the black A4 one is on Amazon for £23.99 at the moment

If you buy via the website, always have another look at your items on the checkout page. On checkout page it states next to each item if it will ship in the original packaging; there is a checkbox next to each one to tick if you’d rather ship them in Amazon packaging instead. They are shipping many more items in original packaging as default recently (not ideal in the lead up to Christmas!).

People always used to complain about the cardboard boxes but I prefer them (and they can be recycled). I’ve had things shipped in thin paper bags recently, which offer no protection - I’ve received items where the item packaging has been damaged which is frustrating.

That’s what I thought and when I reordered I looked everywhere for the option and it simply was not there, thus the gift message.

Be mindful giving your number to Laithwaites. Previously had to block several different numbers from them. They were RELENTLESS. 😬

I can second this. My mother now hates them for this reason.

I do like these threads. Just got DS an AirUp bottle which he has been asking about for months and, as a joint present for him and DS, a hoverboard. They have been asking for a hover board for years. I'm not sure they're going to get much use from the hoverboard now they're older so they' re going to have to share.

Can I please get some advice on vr headsets? Child has seen an advert on TV today for meta quest 3 and roblox and now a vr headset for roblox as been added to the list. I skimmed the vr chat and now regret it. Is the meta quest 3 the only vr headset that works with roblox?

Are there any stockists of Naked marshmellow that don’t charge huge delivery costs? I only need a box of vegan marshmallows to go in a set I’ve made up for my nephew. Delivery cost is same as the price of the item!

I live near the naked marshmallow shops, happy to pick up and post out next time I'm in town :)

CanIPutTheTreeUpYet · 20/11/2023 23:20

Thanks for the heads up re: Laithwaites being a nuisance. Have now changed my number on there to my old, still out of use, number. I work from home so will likely be in regardless of when it arrives!

Roblox also works on Meta Quest 2. Currently £250-£300 on Argos (different memory capacity) and get get a £50 Argos gift card with it.

YesItIsNovemberAndMyChristmasTreeIsUp · 20/11/2023 23:33

Yes I've seen the argos prices. Would we need the higher memory? I'm concerned about the microphone, can you turn this off? I don't like the idea of having the household broadcast whilst the child is playing

thaegumathteth · 20/11/2023 23:45

@MammaGnomes dd needs new crocs and when I looked on Vinted last week there were loads BNWT

Oh how ironic!! Our normal day-to-day supermarket is Lidl. I thought the throws were coming to Aldi (the silent night ones) so went there looking for them instead of going to Lidl as normal 😂

I checked 2 Lidls- no Silentnight throws, just electric blankets 😪. Will see what Aldi comes up with on Thur.

Does anyone have any recommendations for nice stationery for a teenage girl please?

Also any recommendations for nice smelling body moisturiser for a young boy (under 10) - it needs to smell nice or he won't use it?

Thanks

Sainsbury's stationery is always gorgeous & we'll loved my the teen girls in my life. Or Typo.

Bulldog moisturisers are inexpensive, decent & smell good.

LonelyFlans · 21/11/2023 00:51

Thanks @Puffalicious - I'll take a look

slipperypenguin · 21/11/2023 00:58

Does anyone possibly have an argos code for a £60 spend?

Stripedfluffysocks · 21/11/2023 01:01

Is the thread for the red/white B&M Christmas stockings still alive?
